How to Access an iTunes Account From Another Computer
ITunes is a software application that allows you to back up and sync iOS devices as well as access the Apple iTunes store. Apple provides several ways for you to share the content of your iTunes account or library with up to five computers on a local network, permitting your colleagues to access your podcasts and music while you are logged in. If you want to log in to your iTunes account from another computer, such as while you are traveling, you can authorize up to five stand-alone computers at any one time to access your iTunes account and purchases.
-
1.
Download the iTunes application from the Apple website (link in Resources) and double-click the file to install it to your local computer, if it isn't already installed.
-
2.
Open iTunes and click "Store." Select "Authorize This Computer" and enter your Apple ID and password. Click "Authorize" to sync or play a purchased item on your current computer.
-
3.
Sign in to the iTunes store and click "Purchased" in the Quick Links section. Select the tab for the type of content you want to download such as music, apps, TV shows, movies or books.
-
4.
Click on "Songs" to see individual items or click on "Albums" to view collections. Choose "All" to see all items of the content type; select "Not on This Computer" to display only items not yet present on the current computer. Click the "Download" icon for each item to download it to the computer.
