2006 Ford GT

We seem to have a knack of finding rare Ford GT models up for sale.

Remember the 2020 Ford GT Carbon Series with only 32 miles on its clocks?

Well, this 2006 Ford GT is even rarer.

Just 2,011 Ford GT models were produced in 2006.

It’s therefore fair to say you probably won’t see many on the road.

This one doesn’t appear to have been on the road at all, as it’s got just four miles on its odometer.

CHECK THIS OUT!

Sacrilege, we know, but with a spec like this, it’s easy to see why.

This Ford GT is finished in Tungsten Grey Metallic (541 were in this color) complemented by painted silver stripes and ‘Ford GT’ graphics on the doors.

The forged aluminum BBS alloy wheels it sits on make it further stand out.

Interior

The inside is equally as special, with ebony leather upholstery and custom mats covering the aluminum floors.

This Ford GT also boasts a McIntosh stereo system.

Power

Not that you’re likely to use it, because this Ford GT boasts a mid-mounted supercharged 5.4-liter DOHC V8.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Ricardo six-speed manual transaxle and a helical limited-slip differential.

According to Ford, that lump puts out 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque.

That’s good enough for 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).

Ford GT price

By the time we found the four-mile Ford GT up for auction on Bring a Trailer, it had already sold.

And the price?

The rare beast sold for $605,000.

Back when it was new, and with the options it was specced with, this Ford GT had a total MSRP of $166,945.
