Ken, is Windsor and Mariner blue the same shade or the light blue and dark blue? I ask this because they called the same color different names for different years. We did a light blue one back before I had a digital camera and it was nice. If you just want to see what a blue one would look like here is a 51 with non-original blue on it. Before any sharp eyed guy spots the push button doors on a 51--we added them.

Zig, lowering isn't any problem at all when it's on a shortened, narrowed 74 Sedan Deville Cadillac chassis. Has the 500 engine (was 472) along with the a/c, p/w, p/s, and all the stuff the caddy had. Even has the six way power seat that has been narrowed to fit the 51 but still has the fold down armrest. This was done over 25 years ago when gas was in the thirty five to forty cent range. The 51 factory steering column is hooked to the caddy box with a dual roller chain--not a lick of trouble from it in 25+ years.

Mariner Blue is a VERY nice color and you'll be pleased with it ~ it's a medium blue , not light .

I hope someone posts up a pic of it .

I must say , that's a nice Hot Rod truck there and you all know I don't much cotton to Hot Rods..... ;)

I'll send it to you. I don't know how to reduce it from 1M to 300KB. Hopefully you can post it for us.

Here are some pics of my 54 in mariner blue. Sold the truck about 8 years ago. Sorry the pics are lousy. Chris

Not sure which blue I have?!?!?

    Ken,

Here is my truck in a dark shade of blue. Same truck, same color in both pictures, darker one taken later in the afternoon during an overcast day. Chris, you had a beautiful truck!!

Great photos, Chuck! I love the one of the family and the Christmas tree in the back of the truck. Thanks for the link!

I could be wrong but that truck looks more like transport blue to me. I have one that was originally the same color combo. Transport blue with the white top. chrome grille and two tone blue interior.

    see if this helps. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2376243050047579877RwZDhd?vhost=rides
