Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Montravius Adams is set to return to game action Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals after a three-game absence because of an ankle injury.

Wide receiver Calvin Austin III practiced fully for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday and will play in Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Austin suffered an ankle injury late during last week’s win at the Cincinnati Bengals and gradually ramped up his participation during the practice week from a “DNP” on Wednesday to a limited participant Thursday before being a full “go” Friday.

Also given the official green light for Sunday via the status report were defensive lineman Cameron Heyward, cornerback James Pierre and receiver Allen Robinson after each missed some practice time this week. Heyward had groin surgery in September, Pierre has been hindered by a shoulder injury and Robinson has a nagging foot ailment.

Starting defensive lineman Montravius Adams is termed questionable to play against the Cardinals after being downgraded to a limited practice participant Friday. Adams, who has missed the past three games because of an ankle injury, returned to practice last week and fully took part Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Quarterback Kenny Pickett and receiver Diontae Johnson also each were given clean bills of health despite Pickett being listed on the injury report because of an ankle injury and Johnson missing Thursday’s practice because of what was termed as illness.

All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick will return to game action after missing the past four games because of a hamstring injury. Fitzpatrick returned to practice this week and remained a full participant throughout.
