Good credit or better needed for approval. This Harley-Davidson credit card requires at least good credit for approval, so it’s a good idea to check your credit score for free on WalletHub before applying. If you discover that you’re credit isn’t in good shape, you might want to consider the Harley-Davidson Secured Card with no annual fee, it’s one of the best secured credit cards on the market.
Above-average APR. The Harley-Davidson Credit Card charges an above-average interest rate. Given that you need good or excellent credit for approval, that means you’re likely to pay interest at an above-average rate if you carry a balance from month to month with the HD Credit Card. After all, the average credit cards for people with excellent and good credit charge 18.01% and 24.1%, respectively, according to WalletHub’s latest Credit Card Landscape Report.
No annual fee isn’t reason enough to apply. The Harley Credit Card is about $21.58 per year cheaper than the average credit card, thanks to its lack of an annual fee. But if you have good or excellent credit, you’ll be able to get approved for plenty of no annual fee credit cards with superior rewards.
Other ways to rep Harley. Getting a Harley Visa isn’t the only way to express your love of motorcycles. A number of leading credit card companies let you customize your plastic with an image of your choosing. The starting credit limit for the Harley-Davidson® Credit Card is determined on a case-by-case basis. There isn't even a minimum limit listed in the card's terms and conditions. I applied for this card and got approved for a credit limit of $3,000. I'm very happy to have been approved even with a credit score in the 650s. Yes, my APR is high, but nonetheless, I am glad I got approved. Plus, if you read the paperwork and fine print, you have a set limit that is given to you, and you won't be able to increase the credit limit. Which is fine with me because I am just happy I got approved for the card. Now, if you want credit cards that start you out at $300 and give you a chance at an increased line of credit, go with Capital One. But once you hit the credit limit, you can't go any higher than the set credit limit. That goes for any credit cards out there.

I was offered an HD card sponsored by us bank, for a $10 discount on a $50 T shirt. Fore whatever reason I didn't get a statement the first 2 months, whereupon I learned that the 29% Finance charge had all but eliminated the $10 discount. I called and asked the rep to pay off my card and closed it. They were rude and it took two tries to close the account. When I next checked my fico score, they knocked me down 100 pts, to 688. I'll never use HD or usbank for credit ever again.

Little to no perks with having this card. Customer service is very difficult to work with (they obviously work from home and read from a script). I had a double charge from a retailer and they had the nerve to tell me to "take it up with them." It was from a month prior so after holding forever to speak with HD I then called the restaurant who was WAY WAY more helpful with resolving the dispute. Interest is high after initial promo (the only reason I got this stupid card) so I will most likely cancel then. Website if difficult to log in and work with. App is slow and has lots of bugs. When I make my payment I get no email or number to even confirm that it was received. My husband has had his compromised twice in 4 years. Not a good company and the worst customer service.

When they switched from US Bank, everything went downhill. I signed up for auto pay a couple of months ago. The next billing cycle they dinged me a late fee and submitted a negative note on my credit history - even though they didn’t get the auto-pay processed. This month I paid more than the min amount due early trying to get the balance down. On their app, it kept showing $0.00 due. Then yesterday they automatically deducted $121.00 from my checking account as an auto pay - even when there was no payment due. I called to see why and the person I spoke to was EXTREMELY rude! She said they could do that because it was in their “Terms and Conditions.” I’m done with them. I will be opening another cc account and transferring what little balance remains. Pay no attention to what they say you’ll be paying in interest. They’ll get to you any way they can.

Thought it was going to be a hood thinv. Had it bout year n a half. Never missed a payment. Paid it off and they lowered my limit by $3500 because they saw my credit acore drop a little even though i made all my payments and paid it off more then once. Just beware because they will do what ever they feel in necessary.

This is not so much a review as i don't have the card but I plan on adding it to my collection when I'm done gardening. My credit profile needs beefing up a bit. So the above review glances over the fact that you also may earn points my registering your Harley Davidson motorcycle at any shop, then you drive and for each mile you earn a point, so 2500 miles would be 2500 points and that's a $25 HD gift card. So how many miles are you going to get out of your bike? That could be a lot of extra rewards and make it worth the hard pull on getting this credit card for you if you have a bike. That is all. -Joseph L PetRiLJoe
*edit 5/27 3:54pm Up to 50,000 miles per calendar year, $500 /year - still a good benefit on a card with no annual fee.
