Everything a Mustang can do, this restored 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint Convertible we have at Adventure Classics does equally well for a fraction of the price.
Packing a burbling 260 cubic inch V8, triple blue paint and interior combination, and a power convertible top, it is ready to have some fun this summer.
You might not know but the Falcon was the basis for the 1964 ½ Mustang and our Falcon was such a performance bargain.
Engine & Drivetrain
Under the hood our Falcon features the 260 cubic inch V8 that we believe is the original engine. It is further augmented original looking valve covers, air cleaner, wiring and plumbing that is done in the factory style, and it runs super with a great idle and great sound out the dual exhaust system.
It is backed by an automatic transmission, has power disk brakes, power steering, dual exhaust, and rides on BF Goodrich Radial TA's tires on Magnum 500 wheels to complete the look.
Interior
This car also sports an ultra-clean matching blue interior with the split front bench seat and matching rear seat, blue carpets and door panels, great factory dash with factory instruments including the factory tach mounted on the dash, wood steering wheel, and the factory radio that still lives in the dash.
It has a white power convertible top that stows itself under a matching blue boot and our Falcon also gets a good-sized trunk with the correct checkered floor mats, spare tire cover, and spare tire.
Exterior
This one has a very nice repaint of dark blue over straight sheet metal that looks fantastic with good gaps, plenty of brightwork including the sweeping trim along the flanks, a bright grille, highly detailed insert on the trunk that holds the 'Futura' script, and round taillights that showcased Ford's idea of jet propulsion and styling that Ford tried to emulate on all its lineup.
