The engine bay needs sorting out
“Miss Healey Spridget”
Bought as seen and was very pleased with the condition of the bodywork and inside trim. Mechanically it was poor.
Brakes non existent, handbrake lever under my arm pit, fumes in cockpit, no heater hose to draw in fresh air from the front. I am setting about sorting the mechanics of the car. Rebuilt the rear end so far and added a Panhard Rod to stop the sideways float of the axle. I am trying to get it back to original condition and look. There were only 1,411 ungraded Mk4 Austin Healey Sprites built (Matt Black Grill Jobs)unlike MG Midgets where 29,544 were built.
