FOR INBOUND 
Non-DoD Civilian STUDENTS


Upon notification of selection for AWC, all inbound students should access the “Inbound Students” tab on the school website for up-to-date information and reporting  instructions. Immediately upon notification, students must email AWC.StudentOps@us.af.mil. Once member’s email is confirmed, AWC Student Ops will send member a welcome email with administrative requirements and request for information.
 

 QUESTIONNAIRE.   CLICK HERE to complete NLT 15 April.

 BIOGRAPHY, PHOTO & Civilian Service Summary.   Send your bio, photo (in a separate file) and a copy of your Civilian Service Summary to awc.studentops@us.af.mil NLT 15 April.

 REQUIRED TRAININGS: GOVT TRAVEL CARD 101, DOD CYBERAWARENESS, AND DOD UNAUTHORIZED DISCLOSURE.  All students must complete and send the certificates to awc.studentops@us.af.mil  NET 20 May.  All training must be valid through the duration of the academic year.  “Cyber Awareness” and “Unauthorized Disclosure” courses in JKO (or other branches of service/agency equivalent) are acceptable if you do not have an Air Force MyLearning account.  But, at some point during the year, you may be required to create an account in the Air Force MyLearning system for this or other trainings. To establish an MyLearning account go to: https://lms-jets.cce.af.mil and log on.  Once you are logged on, select the “Air Force GoLearn” image, then click the “Total Force Awareness Training” drop down and complete the “Cyber Awareness Challenge” training and you can also search for the “Unauthorized Disclosure” training in MyLearning.  The GTC 101 can be located at:  https://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/neoaccess/login.php (Passport Trax).

 GTC STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING. All students must send the GTC Statement of Understanding (signed by the student only) to awc.studentops@us.af.mil NET 20 May. A supervisor here at AWC will sign off upon arrival. This will be emailed to students at a later date.


 SECURITY CLEARANCE.  Non-DoD Civilian students require a Secret Clearance.  Losing organizations must complete a transfer of clearance status to AWC upon PCS/TDY to AWC.  If you are currently filling an SCI-level billet, ask your SSO for a Transfer-In-Status (TIS) to the AU/SSO (SMO: SSO AU) at Maxwell AFB, Alabama (DSN 94 312 493-6715/3606).  Valid Cyber Awareness and Unauthorized Disclosure training certificates must be presented at in-processing.  Finally, if you have a TS clearance and it is within 60 days of the 6-year expiration date, you must begin the update process through your current security manager.  Please contact the AWC security manager (DSN 94 312 493-1399/98 and commercial (334) 953-1399/98) with any questions, email is preferred (anthony.kim.12@us.af.mil). 

 BASE ACCESS/COMMON ACCESS CARD (CAC)All students must have base access. All students must possess a valid DoD CAC prior to arrival at AWC that will remain valid through the duration of the academic year.  Email AWC Student Operations awc.studentops@us.af.mil  for any questions on this process.

 TRANSCRIPT. All civilian students must request their official undergraduate transcript be mailed or e-mailed to the Air University Registrar’s Office NLT 1 June.  Transcripts should be mailed to Air University Registrar; ATTN: Admissions; 60 Schumacher Ave; Maxwell AFB, AL 36112-6337. The school can also send the transcripts electronically to airu.admission@gmail.com or au.admission@us.af.mil.  Only one transcript is required from either the student’s bachelors or masters degree, not both.

 LEAVE AWC will NOT authorize ordinary leave during the academic year, except for during a two- week holiday break in December; recommend taking sufficient leave prior to arrival at AWC.
