Paint match was perfect, the clear coat is a bit weird… but works if you know what you’re doing (I don’t)

I found I was able to get a more seamless result on the rock chips in my hood by cleaning well, skipping the primer and sanding the paint before the clear coat. There’s a lot of sanding involved. I sanded up to 2000 grit on the paint & 3000 on the clear coat.
