This book has served its purpose for the specific repairs I needed to make. The torque specs are handy to have, and in general, a book specifically geared to answer your repair questions is much better than searching forum after forum and wading through misinformation. Some of the included instructions can be quite broad. However, I knew what to expect before purchasing this manual and have enough experience to fill in the gaps for the missing information. I'd recommend this to anyone handy enough to do their own repairs.

You should note that this book was written some time ago and that certain things have been updated or changed since its publication. As a specific example, the Fel-Pro timing gasket sold today has been redesigned. This book recommends using "a thin layer of RTV sealant to both sides of the new gasket." The newer gasket technology (PermaDryPlus) requires just a small amount at a specific point. If you don't pay attention to this fact, you're liable to create more leaks than you started with.
