My favorite dish to cook for company is Cedar Plank Salmon. The biggest problem I've had is that the supermarkets don't have cedar planks big enough for the full-sized salmon fillets that they sell at Costco. And I don't like cutting the filets down to size and putting 3 or 4 cedar planks on the grill. So when I saw these and realized how large they were, I had to get them.

But be warned, they come in a pack of 25, but they are definitely worth it! Once you use them for company, you won't mind when guests ask you for a couple that they can use for themselves!

At first, I was a little bit worried because they seemed like they were thinner than ones I have used in the past--I was a bit worried about them burning through, so I used 2. It turns out that there was no need to worry--The bottom one didn't burn through and the taste of the salmon was still PERFECT.

So all in all, these are AWESOME and I couldn't be happier--the 25 pack will last me through the summer and fall (even minus the ones I've already given away to some friends and family! Super glad to got these!

Perfect dimensions for a whole salmon fillet. Just the right thickness so you don't feel the need to reuse: one and done. I put my gas grill on high, and after a 20 minute warm up put my marinated salmon fillet on the board and then on the very hot grill. the board catches fire (i dont pre-saok) and burns throughout the cooking process (15 -20 minutes or so), imparting a nice cedar smokey flavor.
