Finally, Dolphin Gray B7 w/ 18" Onyx Black RS4 Reps

I've seen a lot of requests for pics of this combo, but haven't seen anyone post pics yet. So here's my baby, caught in the wild with photographic proof of its existence. She a Dolphin Gray 2.0T with the Titanium package and now Velocity Wheel's Onyx Black 18" RS4 reps. Enjoy and happy holidays to everyone.

Edit: Here's a comparison between my B7 and another Dolphin that was parked in the lot where I work. I don't know who the owner is, but their car looks completely stock (besides their vanity plates that I hid). I couldn't take pics from other angles because all the parking spaces were full.

The tires are Fuzion ZRi's made by Bridgestone. The profile is very low and the sidewalls really small, so I guess they may look a little stretched. They're pretty good for their price and actually on special at the Tirerack right now. And yeah, rear lights are smoked.

Thanks for the pics...I have a Dolphin Gray '06 too and was wondering what the Black Onyx would look like, now i know. What sort of suspension do you have? I have the sport and am curious if your Ti package is the same as the 'Sport suspension.

same suspension. However i think any car with a new wheel setup needs a drop. Just doesn't look "right" without one.
I think his car looks great, i like tint on the tails, not too dark, just right. If you got some coilovers it would be purrrrfect.

Thanks. I agree; can you advice on how much (in inches starting from sport suspension) of a drop would be ideal for both looks and functionality (not too low)?

Don't really know. W/ coilovers you can just adjust until you are happy.

    tee hee

No in all seriousness... if you get coilovers I would HIGHLY reccomend a corner balance. This greatly improves the overall handling of the car and decreases most rubbing issues. Now I am about 1-2 finger gap all the way around and its perfect.

Re: Finally, Dolphin Gray B7 w/ 18" Onyx Black RS4 Reps

Thank you all. Though really not noticeable, I have the Stasis (Koni) Street Sport coilovers installed on this car. They were just put in about two days ago with the ride height adjusted to a conservative setup of about 25.8" at the front and 26" at the rear. This is straight out of Stasis' own FAQ which also states to allow 2 weeks for the suspension to settle before an alignment. Most of my driving is just commuting, so I wasn't looking into an aggressive setup with lots of negative camber. I just wanted something that was a little lower than the S-line. Who knows, in 2 weeks from now maybe I'll change my mind and have them go lower

They're 18's. I regret not going 19's, but between modding the Audi and modding the Ducati, I just didn't have the cash left

    I think 18's look great.
As long as the offset is perfect and your car is lowered nicely, 18's look fantastic!
Its the perfect mix of style and performance as long as you put some nice rubber on em'. Preferably the right size tire as well.

Re: Finally, Dolphin Gray B7 w/ 18" Onyx Black RS4 Reps

26" to top of fender is pretty much sport suspension height. So, I'd say you're not even lowered. You got to go at least 25-1/8", what Stasis preset the Streetsports to. Use them coilovers man!!
