Nice small car
This car is very economical with gas. I like that I don't need to fill it up so often as I did before. It's a small car, but comfortable. It is a nice looking little car, reasonably priced. I hope to be able to sell this car in six to nine months and perhaps buy a new car. I am tired of American cars, so I hope to be able to afford a Toyota or Honda. Both of them are great cars with much safety equipment on them. When I bought this car, my previous car just quit running, so I was in a hurry to purchase another car. I did not have a lot of time to look around for the best car for the amount that I could spend at the time. I went to just two car places to look at cars, so not much choice for me. The car has been a pretty reliable car for me - I have had it over four years, and it will be soon paid off. I do want to keep it a while after it is paid for, so I can enjoy not having car payments for a while. I may decide to keep it a year after the car is paid for just to enjoy that extra money for a while, and then I can save up more for a new car. That is my plans at this time. This car was made in Mexico, and the parts for this car are quite expensive. My air conditioner is going out and that will cost quite a bit. I plan to not have it fixed before selling.

This car is nothing special.
I bought this car thinking I was supporting American made for a low sticker price ($12K). I soon learned that the Aveo is really Korean car, a Daewoo with a bowtie. The car may have been assembled in the US, but the design was brought over from Daewoo and 90% of the parts are foreign. It is a decent car to get you from point A to point B. It gets decent gas mileage for an eleven-year-old vehicle. While the car is small, it is very spacious, both in seating areas and in the trunk. This is definitely not a performance car. The tiny 1.4 liter engine means it has no get-up-and-go. Once you get up to speed, it will satisfy your lead foot. I had no issues, mechanically, with the car for the first few years that I owned it.
