1970 Fiat 500 Lusso

Seaside97
Stockholm
Basic information and History

Fiat 500, the immensely popular and charming small people's car from Italy. This particular one is presented in a fantastic color combo and is a crowd magnet of rank wherever it appears.

If any car is the car world's version of the classic "dog trick", it's this little Fiat. Everyone who sees it gets excited and wants to come up and admire it. The model was already introduced in 1957 and was produced in various versions until 1975 and was popular both among the people and in a racing context.

This example is a completely restored Fiat 500L (Lusso) 1970 with 18 hp (the larger engine from the sports model).

The car is in very good condition and only driven about 1450 km since the renovation. A unique car with the right color combination in paint and interior, which is predicted to have a nice development in value in the future.

The entire car was completely renovated in Monza in Italy and then imported to Sweden in 2021. Everything on the car has been inspected, renovated or replaced and the work was well documented during the build.

The car is registered in Sweden, inspected forever and ready for the summer. The car has only had one owner since the renovation and the seller says that the nice Italian license plates do not come with the car, but can be purchased separately for SEK 2500.

Condition

Exterior: The seller lets us know that the car is in very good condition on the outside except for a couple of minor marks that are documented in the album. As mentioned, the car was completely renovated in Italy and then painted in the eye-catching color pistachio/mint green that can be seen in the pictures.

The car is completely stainless, glass parts are in top condition and there are no remarks on chrome, moldings or emblems. There is a period bag shelf in metal and wood with leather straps on the tailgate which is also in top condition and does a lot for the look.

The original rims are refurbished but have some paint chipping around a hub cap. For more info on exact condition see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comment field!

Interior: The delicious saddle brown interior upholstery is apparently in top condition and was replaced during the renovation. The color combination and craftsmanship is like a beautiful Italian shoe and breathes quality. Instrument panel and the rest of the interior are in equally fine renovated condition, the convertible roof works flawlessly and there are no complaints about gauges or other functions inside. For more info on exact condition, see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comments!

Mechanics: The engine and gearbox have been completely renovated and the car runs fantastically well on the road. Starts every time like when it was new. Brakes and chassis are in top condition with all parts new or refurbished. The tires are also brand new.

Newly inspected 24/5/2023 without remarks for the last time and the car is now exempt from inspection forever.

See all the photos in the album as well as a video of the car being test driven and feel free to ask questions in the comment field!

Summary

One of the most charming cars ever made in a very rare and amazingly fine restored condition! These models continue to be sought after on the market, especially refurbished ones, and are predicted to have a positive value development in the coming years. A car that does just as well in a museum as it does on the road and is guaranteed to bring a lot of joy to future owners!
