1967 Jaguar E-Type

1967 Jaguar E-Type (XKE) Convertible has been recently traded in from its owner of the past decade. This is the ideal driver’s E-Type. The mechanical restoration was done according to the book of receipts in 2014-2017. This example was originally finished in Carmen Red with a Black leather interior. The car was painted Primrose Yellow sometime in the mid-1990s. The body and paint show quite well and most of the chrome has been redone. New tires were installed as part of the annual service done in March of 2021. The replacement 4.2 Inline 6-Cylinder was rebuilt in 2016 by Carlquist Competition Engines of Oakville, CT. The car runs and drives beautifully. A compression test was done in March of 2021 and showed strong and even results for each cylinder (160-165). Included with the car is a binder of restoration receipts and photos of the rebuilds. Body parts have been painted as individual items, the front birdcage was fully dismantled when painted and the “contact” faces are freshly painted. A-arms, torsion bars, undercarriage are all prepped and properly painted Interior was fully removed, cleaned, floorpan cleaned, painted and interior reassembled with new components, Top is in excellent condition and was recently replaced.

Engine:
Complete Engine Rebuild, New Pistons, Polished Original Crankshaft, New Valves Complete, Valve Job, New Oil Pump, New Oil Pressure Sender- note car has original gauge- new sender reads 9psi low from actual pressure as measured via a mechanical gauge
New Timing Gears and Chain New Timing Chain Tensioner and Guides
Rebuilt Harmonic Balancer
New Stainless Steel Expansion Tank
All Carbs Completely Rebuilt
Electric Fan wired to ignition switch has been installed

Transmission:
New Clutch, Pressure Plate, Surfaced Flywheel New Clutch Master New Transmission Output Flange and Seal New Reverse Light Switch

Front Suspension/Steering:
New Ball Joints, New Tie Rod Ends, New Steering Rack Bushings, Torsion Bars reset, New Shocks, New Wheel Bearings

Rear Suspension:
New Shocks New, Wheel Bearings

Brakes:
New Master Cylinder, New Master Pressure Balance Valve, New Rotors Resealed and Painted calipers

Body:
Front Bumper Re-chromed, Rear Bumper Re-chromed, Door Handles Re-chromed, New Headlight Screws, New Bonnet Bushings

Large file of restoration photos and documentation. This Series 1 E-Type is ready to enjoy and drive. All the work gone into sorting this wonderful example has paid off handsomely in how she goes down the road. Starts easily and idles smooth.
