Land Rover launches two Discovery special-editions

Landmark and Graphite limited-editions broaden the appeal of the British family off-roader

A replacement for the Discovery 4 remains years away, but Land Rover Australia is not letting the grass grow under the current model.

Two new special-editions available to order from the end of October will inject fresh appeal in the venerable model.

The Graphite and Landmark editions each enhance the design of the British off-roader; and the Landmark edition brings even more luxury and exclusive touches to the already premium interior.

Available with the TDV6, SDV6 SE model grades, the Graphite pack builds on the success of the Black Pack introducing a modern and distinctive look to the model range with graphite highlights on the fender vents and front grille.

Exclusive to the Graphite edition are the 19-inch seven-split-spoke alloys finished in high gloss grey, with customers able to choose from a selection of nine body colours and three interior colour schemes.

Adding even more luxury and exclusivity is the Landmark edition, which is based on the already generously equipped SDV6 HSE variant.

With the aim of providing a unique look and feel, the Landmark Discovery sees the addition of bright-finish roof rails, black fender vents, grille and mirror caps.

Adding to the exclusivity is the Zanzibar Orange paint option, which isn't available on any other Discovery.

Inside, the Landmark edition adds enhancements such as Windsor leather seats and the Extended Leather Pack throughout the cabin in three colour options, Ebony, Almond and Tan.

The Landmark Discovery also sees the addition of the 825-Watt Meridian surround-sound system and DAB+ digital radio, as well as the Vision Assist Pack, which includes Adaptive Xenon headlights, Auto High Beam Assist and Surround Camera system.

The Land Rover Discovery TDV6 Graphite starts at $70,780 before on road costs, with the SDV6 SE Graphite adding nearly $20,000 at $89,900 plus on-road costs.

The flagship Discovery Landmark starts at $106,690 plus on-road costs.

First deliveries of the Graphite and Landmark editions are set to arrive on Australian roads from April 2016 onwards.
