The limited-production Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is a very special breed as, unlike most sports sedans that sport downsized engines, it’s powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8.

This particular example is a 2019 model, available through Bring a Trailer with just 808 miles (1,300 km) on the clock. It’s also one of just 35 that have reportedly been imported to the United States.

Its widebody exterior is finished in satin-effect SVO Verbier Silver, with contrasting carbon fiber elements and black Jaguar leaper graphics. Moreover, its wheels are black, measure 20 inches in diameter and house a set of yellow calipers.

Inside, there’s a very driver-focused ambiance with black leather sports seats boasting Project 8 logos on all four headrests. Other features include an Alcantara steering wheel, Meridian sound system, head-up display, dual-zone climate control and raised center bolster for the rear seats.

While the XE SV Project 8 does look like a very dynamic sports sedan with a premium interior, the window sticker, when new, read $188,550, which is a great deal more than what you’d spend on a BMW M3 or Mercedes-AMG C63.

The reason for that is its power train and improved aerodynamics, courtesy of JLR’s SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) unit. The previously-mentioned supercharged 5.0-liter V8 produces 592 HP (600 PS) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque, going to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic and an electronic active differential with torque vectoring.

According to Jaguar, the XE SV Project 8 will max out at 200 mph (322 km/h) and hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds and, last summer, it lapped the Nurburgring in just 7 minutes and 18.361 seconds.
