The sixth-generation Chevrolet Monte Carlo wasn’t terribly interesting, but one of the lowest mileage examples is going up for auction later this month.

Offered by Mecum, this 2003 Monte Carlo is a one owner special that has only been driven 900 miles (1,448 km) in the past 18 years.

There’s no word on why the car was rarely used, but the Monte Carlo appears to be in great shape as it features a flawless Superior Blue Metallic exterior. It has also been equipped with the LS Sport Appearance package, which adds a NASCAR-inspired rear spoiler and 16-inch aluminum wheels.

The interior looks immaculate as well as everything appears like it did nearly two decades ago. Of course, that’s not necessarily a good thing as the cabin is filled with cheap plastics and mediocre seats.

The listing is light on specifics, but the Monte Carlo came standard with a dual-zone climate control system, power windows / locks and remote keyless entry. This particular car also features a six-way power driver’s seat and the Preferred Equipment package, which adds cruise control and a CD player.

Despite being closely associated with NASCAR, the Monte Carlo wasn’t exactly a racer and this particular car has a 3.4-liter V6 with 180 hp (134 kW / 182 PS) and 205 lb-ft (278 Nm) of torque. That isn’t too impressive, but it’s worth noting the Monte Carlo SS wasn’t much of an upgrade as its 3.8-liter V6 developed 200 hp (149 kW / 203 PS) and 225 lb-ft (305 Nm) of torque.

Sticking with the performance theme, the engine is connected to a four-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels. Acceleration was leisurely at best as even the SS variant took 7.3 seconds to hit 60 mph (96 km/h).

There’s no auction estimate, but the car originally stickered for $23,775. It probably won’t fetch nearly that much as Kelly Blue Book gives it a private party estimate of between $5,179 and $7,044. Of course, that seems a bit low and it’s hard to estimate a price for old cars with extremely low mileage.
