If you opt for the larger Grand Wagoneer L model, your SUV will run on a brawny new 510-horsepower twin-turbocharged inline-six engine known as the Hurricane. The lively powerhouse promises all the muscle you need for confident acceleration from green lights and onramps, and it comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission along with all-wheel drive. When fully equipped for trailering, the Grand Wagoner can tow up to 9,860 pounds.
The Grand Wagoneer features three generously cushioned rows with seating for seven to eight people depending on the model you choose. The middle row comes standard with well-bolstered captain’s chairs ,while a second-row bench is also available to raise the seating capacity to eight. The SUV’s long, broad frame ensures ample seating space for everyone on board, with an abundance of legroom, elbow room, and overhead space from front to back.
The Grand Wagoneer’s interior design is decidedly more stately than its rugged, adventure-minded relatives. Throughout the cavernous cab, you’ll see handsome wood trim and other sophisticated accents. Interior options for the luxury SUV include leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and onboard Wi-Fi. When you need to keep track of back-row passengers, you can also use the available rear-seat video monitoring system with built-in cameras and a feed sent directly to the dash’s touchscreen. You’ll find a few callbacks to the early Wagoneer models in the cabin as well, from the updated two-spoke steering wheel to the “EST. 1963” emblem on the side of the dash, visible once you open the front doors.
Some Grand Wagoneer models are available with two-tone paint for an extra level of contrast in an already stunning exterior design. The body of the SUV is available in elegant hues like Silver-Zynith, Luxury White Pearl, or Velvet Red Pearl, while the roof comes in a subtle Black Clearcoat. If you’re interested in a monotone look, the Grand Wagoneer is also available in a solid Diamond Black Crystal Pearlcoat from grille to bumper.
