Default Close up pics of carbon flash?

Before ordering the car. I really need to see this carbon flash color.
Is it black? Or does it look like real carbon fiber.
In the visualizer it looks black.

From what I have seen, it looks like gloss black paint with a very heavy metallic flake in it.

I found this on the Google. Dusty black sparkle.

Variables online, monitors, etc etc will never really show a good pic. I would suggest going to any chevy dealer , I am sure you can find a C7 corvette with plenty of Carbon Flash to look at.

Carbon flash can be seen on many parts on the current C7, go to a dealer or look at one next time you see one in a parking lot.

Picture posted by Cenzooo is very accurate depiction of carbon flash. It looks like black metallic.

It's black metallic paint... it is definitely NOT exposed carbon fiber.

I agree.....black gloss with metal flake. Noticeable in the sun light. It is not exposed carbon fiber with the weave.

I will go against the majority based on owning my Centennial GS vert for 5 years now; it's not black, it's extremely dark gray. It looks black in the shade, but in direct sunlight you see that it's gray with a lot of small metallic sparkle. Maybe it's splitting hairs, but that's how I see it.

I agree.....and looking at the pictures above....that's what it looks like in person. My C7's ground effects, spoiler, and all the vents and badging are all Carbon Flash.

Yes, it probably is all how individual people see it, and it totally doesn't matter -- you either like it or not. Never thought about it as grey before. Could be. My "guess" is that the base paint is black but there is so much metallic in it reflecting light in the sun that the eyes get fooled into thinking its a lighter color than it is. As you noted, it the shade when you don't get the metallic it really looks black.

Also, as I posted a long time ago, I found it funny GM made it "special" on the Corvettes and Cadillacs. Before that, it was a no charge paint option on my daily driver.

I'm surprised it was no-cost; GMC and Buick usually also charge a premium for metallics and tint coats like White Diamond Tricoat (we had an Enclave in this color). I always felt, based on looks, that the Cadillac WDT had more pearl in it than the other brand's WDT. WDT is a color I think would look great on C8.

So you don't like it. I guess it's polarizing like yellow; you either like it or you don't. I know I get lots of compliments and eyeballs on the car; more than I did on my Millennium Yellow 2003 vert. My Victory Red 2007 coupe seemed to be essentially invisible for some reason.
