"Bo" as we knew him at Texas A&M, was my roommate for 2 years. This was our Freshman Squadron 4 Bonfire cutting picture from 1968. Bo was 1 of 100 black students in a student body of 12,000. Our friendship lasted the ensueing 5 decades. He was the most steadfastly faithful man I have ever known with a sharp wit and everlasting smile. I rejoice knowing he is now serving greatly in the company of our Lord's heavenly hosts. We'll done, good and faithful servant...Gig 'em, Bo!

He had a quirky sly sense of humor which befitted his quiet demeanor, and his passion for sharing the Gospel was undeniable. Greetings to the family of Rev. Larry Brown -

What a might man of God is Rev.  Larry Brown!  His quiet and consistent support for God's grace implemented at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship has meant so much to so many.   He was an amazing servant of our King and His people.  His consistency and heartfelt love for the flock was evident to all.  I am grateful to have been able to work with him, and observe of his genuine love for God and for  others.  But not just for others - for me, too!  He was consistently kind, thoughtful and full of words of encouragement.  When he spoke, His Spirit showed.  One outstanding memory I have is that, when he didn't see me at church, he sent a message to me through a friend to see how I was doing.  It surprised me that he would even be thinking of me, as busy as he was!  That meant the world to me.  He had that kind of uncommon grace.  Although I am saddened that I was not with you at his life celebration,  please allow me to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to you for your loss.  His transition to Heaven is amazing for Him, but painful for you.  I will be praying for you -

I had the pleasure of working with Larry Brown during his Hewlett-Packard Field Sales Engineering career. Larry contributed to the early success of Hewlett Packard's Electronic Semiconductor Components Group. He and I were the first 2 Black Engineers to join the Midwest Sales Region. We worked together from the late 1970's through the late 1980's. I was impressed by Larry's positive attitude, work ethic, teamwork, and class. We earned the respect of our peers and HP Management as we pushed each other to perform at highest level. Those were very good days and Larry Brown was a mighty good man!

Words can hardly express what a Godly man he was in this lifetime! So loving kind funny always putting others before himself! His smile was so infectious 🤗

What a joy he was to serve with in the OCBF Comfort & Care Ministry. He always knew when to speak, when to be silent and pray. He was an amazing man of great encouragement to so many hurting souls. He loved God's people!

The last time I spoke with him he was praying for my son-in-law Sergio who is currently battling with cancer. He was still showing love and concern even in his own battle! That's a real man of God who was always walking in his calling!!

Truly he was chosen by God to be a leader and he served him well.

The memories are endless I will cherish them forever.

Prayers to the Brown family. Growing up together with my cousin (Bobo) will never be forgotten. God has an angel.

The Brown/ Curtain families lost a giant on Monday, but heaven gained a gem!!!! Our dear  Brother in Love is now resting with our Lord and Savior.  l will never forget our last visit with him and the family in Dallas when his health was failing.  The Cleveland family wanted to encourage him… but he quickly turned that around from his hospital bed and focused on witnessing about the goodness of God and encouraging us like never before.  That was Larry Brown.  We will miss him terribly for all that he gave to us and the life he exemplified before us.  We are praying earnestly for the loves of his life:  Sandra, Joel, Kim, Rob, Kyllan, William, Drew, Ari, Laurel and Elliott. Rest on my brother…

 Daddy Larry's encouragement, talks & prayers have help shape me into the woman of God that I am now. I am so grateful for the love and laughter we were able to share.   Mommy Sandra you have been an excellent example of a Proverbs 31 woman.  To God Be The Glory for giving you strength, love & tenacity to give A1 care to your husband.  Dad definitely exemplified the love of Christ. He will be missed but we must live our lives in a way that is pleasing unto God so that we can all meet him in Heaven. Dad fought the good fight, finished the race, kept the faith & now has a crown laid up just for him.  Much love!

King Cousin Larry was a kind and loving vessel of Christian humanness.  His love and unwavering faith has been and always will be a true testament to his love of God, family, and humankind!!  I will miss his profound prayers he has prayed for me and my family!!   Larry is now an Ancestor whose spirit will live forever!!  Blessings to his Queen Sandra and family!
