5.7L HEMI® V8 ENGINE specifications: 395 Horsepower, 410 LB-FT of torque, 10,710 Pounds towing capacity. The 2019 RAM 1500 classic creates the legendary power that Hemi and RAM are known for with the available and renowned 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine.

3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine specifications: 305 Horsepower, 269 LB-FT of torque, 7,670 Pounds towing capacity. The 2019 RAM 1500 Classic standard engine option also features Variable Valve Timing, with a sophisticated Thermal Management System designed for optimum power, efficiency and performance.

Engine Features

The RAM 1500 Classic’s standard eight-speed automatic transmission with TorqueFlite® features optimal acceleration, even in lower gears, while maintaining thermal control for exceptional efficiency and long-life durability.

RAM’s Active Air® Grille Shutters are advanced to adapt to speed, engine needs, and even load, to provide optimum engine cooling to increase engine efficiency and reduce drag.

The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic frame contains down-gauged steel for an aerodynamic frame, where heavy steel isn’t required, for lighter frame weight and greater fuel efficiency.

For enhanced airflow and reduced drag, the available tri-fold tonneau cover improves air movement over the truck body.

The Five-link coil spring uses proprietary, Class-Exclusive spring technology, and comes standard on the 2019 RAM 1500 Classic’s rear suspension*, which reduces overall system friction without compromising your truck’s towing capability.
