• The candidates must have been born between January 1, 2004 and July 2, 2097 (both days inclusive) and are eligible to apply.

(a) Science Subjects- Candidates should have passed the Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from an Education Board listed as a COBSE member with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Passed Three years of Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).

Passed two years of vocational courses with non-vocational subjects viz. Physics and Maths from State Education Boards/Councils are listed in COBSE with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

(b) Other Than Science Subjects- Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any subject approved by Central / State Education Boards listed as COBSE member with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR

Indian Airforce Agniveer Vayu Exam Pattern 2024

The Indian Airforce Agniveer Vayu written test will consist of 3 groups, i.e. Science, Other than Science and Science & other than Science. The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours and 10 minutes. One mark will be awarded for each right answer. However, 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Air Force Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Physical Fitness Test (PFT), which would consist of a 1.6 Km run to be completed within 07 minutes (by males) and 08 minutes (by females). This will be mandatory to qualify for PFT-II. Candidates shall also have to complete 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups and 20 Squats within the stipulated time to qualify for the Physical Fitness Test.

Air Force Adaptability Tests 1 & 2

• Adaptability Test- 1: All candidates who pass the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) shall have to undertake Adaptability Test-1 (objective type written test) to assess a candidate’s suitability for employment in the IAF, which involves deployment in varied geographic terrain, weather and operational conditions. 
• Adaptability Test- 2: All candidates who pass Adaptability Test-I shall have to undertake Adaptability Test-II as per policy in vogue. Adaptability Test-II is to select candidates who can adapt to the environment of the Indian Air Force and are able to adjust to the military way of life.

Air Force Mandatory Medical Test

General Medical Standards for Agniveer Vayu are as follows:

Dental	Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth and a minimum of 14 dental points.
General Health	The candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments. The candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

Indian Airforce Agniveer Vayu Salary 2024

Candidates qualified for recruitment will be paid Rs. 30,000 per month in the first year. They will be paid Rs. 33,000 per month in the second year. In the third year, the monthly salary will amount to Rs. 36,500. In the fourth year, it will be Rs. 40,000 per month. The in-hand salary will vary depending on the year the candidates will be serving.

Other than the monthly salary, they will also be entitled to the following packages:

• Seva Nidhi Package =  To provide financial loans for employment of oneself or entrepreneurship through a bank guarantee and meet immediate/incidental expenses on exit.
• Life Insurance Cover = During their span of employment as an Agniveer, the candidates wil be eligible for a life insurance cover worth Rs. 48 lakhs
• Death Compensation = In case of death of the serving candidates, the next admissible kin will get insurance facilities and compensation applicable as per the category in which the deceased employee belongs.
• An employee who belongs to the Permanent Low Medical Category will get a lump-sum compensation as per the extent of his disability and the extent to which he can contribute to the field.
