From 1949 to 1959, then again from 1965 to 1976, Dodge produced the Dodge Coronet, with seven generations under its belt. It wasn't until 1965 that the Coronet became a proper muscle car. An exquisite restoration with everything restored to OEM spec with classic muscle performance is at hand with this very rare 1 of 599 produced 1970 Dodge Coronet Superbee and is included in the Super Bee Registry. With just 24 miles on the odometer after its rebirth, that has seen a meticulous rotisserie restoration lasting 4 and a half years, is ready for immediate delivery to its next fortunate owner.
Right off the bat, this 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee announces itself with its bright Sublime Green finish and a new black vinyl top. The undercarriage was painted with etched primer with a Sublime Green feathered paint job by duplicating the factory Mopar process. The seller reports that the Super Bee decals and badges are OEMs. The front and rear chrome bumpers were completed by Tri-City Plating, along with the new chrome bezel hood scoops. All other stainless-steel trims were removed and sent for buffing and polishing. The front features a new grille, Dodge and Super Bee badges, along with the new hood and trunk Super Bee emblems. Underneath the hood, you'll find an N96 Fresh Air Hood attachment with a 26" radiator. The OEM wheels were sent for sandblasting, then etched with primer, painted, and professionally balanced, and new valve stems were added. The owner reports that a slew of cables, rubber parts, glass, chrome trims, and moldings have all been either replaced or restored. As with the exterior, the interior has gone through an extensive restoration process. The 3-spoke steering wheel is brand new, along with the center cap. New armrests and bezel, new upholstery, a new headliner with rear sail panels on the rear window tint, a new dash pad, a new complete wood grain overlay, new sun visors, and a new glove box are part of the restoration project. The OEM AM radio has been restored with new speakers added.
The 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee denotes the car being the highest performance spec available at that time. The owner reports that the 440ci Six-Pack V8 engine is coupled with an A833 4-speed manual transmission.
