I finally got my new 22 inch Ford Performance wheels mounted on the truck today. The tires are Michelin Defenders 305/45R22. They ride very well and no noise. I'm not an off road guy and pondering the idea of having the front level removed and drop the rear to remove the extra space. But another part of me likes riding a little higher than most people on the road. Time will tell.

These were a direct swap from my factory wheels with no spacers or any rubbing. If you have any questions, let me know.

Looks very nice. What did the set of four rims set you back, if you don't mind me asking?

Have a great weekend!! Fredm2002

I just couldn't justify $3000 for a tire and wheel swap.
I respect that. Everyone is entitled to their own ways of spending money.

I also have two Fox Body Mustangs. The money I have in those make my new wheels and tires look like an oil change :)

Nice wheels and tire setup! I was thinking about getting the FRPP black 20" wheel kit (same as yours) with TPMS.

If you are getting new tires these wheels are about the same price as the tires!

I wanted to perhaps do this, then I could keep my other factory 20's and put dedicated snows on them. What did you do about a spare (would the 22" fit in there)

Personally I would have gone with a touch more sidewall, I saw ford recommend the Hankook tires AT11's they take 2800+ pounds and weigh only 44 pounds each. Did you look at other sizes?

Love the LX! (3 pedals?) What is under the hood? 5.0 efi stock lol -- Looks like it may have a hotchkis setup too? I had a Aluminum 4.6 32V heads - N/A 320Hp, headers, intake, 3.73, dyno tune 93 etc, big comfy 4 door sedan, (marauder) full size panther, 0-60 under 5 - Love Fords.

I miss my 83-1/2 Mustang. Not without its issues.

I fix software bugs!
Looks great! I’m pondering the same, remove the level, the rear block, and go with low profile 22’s. Nice and clean. Lighter weight tires make a surprising difference in acceleration and handling.

How much front lift do you have now?

Looks good! I’d remove the leveling kit and rear blocks and see how you like it. A rear sway bar will help with a sporty feeling too.
