1956 Ford F-100 Is a Magazine-worthy Orange Dream
Built nearly 14 years ago, this incredible 1956 Ford F-100 has stood the test of time like few others.
Few of us ever get to realize the dream of owning our idea of the perfect truck. Fewer still have the wherewithal to also make that dream truck something worthy of the world’s most legendary car magazine. But the builder of this drop-dead gorgeous 1956 Ford F-100 achieved both of those goals when they scooped up a rusty old shell and turned it into the amazing machine you see before you.
We spotted the orange and cream dream machine over at John Scott Classic Cars, where it caught our attention for a couple of reasons. Obviously because it’s a beautiful build based on perhaps our favorite F-Series body style of all-time. But also because it looked strangely familiar. That’s when we realized that this very 1956 Ford F-100 was a Hot Rod feature truck way back in 2004.
Amazingly, the truck still looks every bit as good now as it did then, nearly 14 years ago. The style of the F-100 has also held up amazingly well, thanks to its mild nature. Shaved emblems, filled stake pockets, and a smoothed out bed are timeless mods on these trucks. So are painted steelies with hubcaps. And, of course, a mild interior with classic Moon gauges, an Ididit steering column, and a Billet Specialties steering wheel.
