Ford F-250 Ranger Camper Special Is a Bahama Blue Beauty
Old Ford F-250 lived its life on a western Colorado ranch, but you’d have a hard time telling based on how good it looks.
Old school Ford trucks are slowly becoming hot items in the collector market. Which, of course, is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good because it’s nice to see our favorite rides enjoy the spotlight they so deserve. Bad because prices for even reasonably nice trucks can approach insane levels in many cases. But that doesn’t appear to be the case with this gorgeous Bahama Blue 1973 Ford F-250 we spotted over at Bring a Trailer.
But that certainly isn’t the seller’s fault. They were smart enough to provide a host of gorgeous pictures of the truck surrounded by stunning scenery, for starters. And the truck itself is rather stunning as well. The Ranger Camper Special seems to have lived its life on a western Colorado range, yet looks no worse for wear. Sure, there are the normal dents and scratches, but nothing that would deter us from bringing this Ford F-250 home.
In fact, one could argue that the wear only adds to its appeal. The long bed, two-wheel drive pickup also has a solid drivetrain combo – a 390 backed by a C6 automatic transmission. Both received a rebuild a mere 800 miles ago, meaning this pickup is ready to roll on for many more years to come. The seller has also added a new set of wheels and OEM-style hubcaps, which we think look great.
Heck, this old Ford F-250 even has air conditioning, making it a pretty attractive cruiser. There are a few niggles, namely a cracked steering wheel and dead radio, but nothing a shadetree mechanic can’t handle. And while your average collector might give this Ford F-250 a total cosmetic overhaul, we’d leave it as is. After all, this truck earned its patina, and it wears it proudly!
