I have a 56 f100 shortbed and a 1956 f250 longbed that are meadow green in my gallery. I feel this is the nicest color for the 56 ford trucks.

There's some in the 54 link in my signature. It's slightly darker than original, but it is Meadow Green.

That brings a question to ask! Was Meadow Green the same through all years?
It should be, but i wanted to throw that out there. Of course some pics make it look different in different lighting and such. I assume that if Ford changed anything , it would be called something different.

This reference (1949 Ford Paint Color Codes - Ford Paint Cross-Reference) doesn't show Meadow Green for every year, but uses the same Ford number (14283) when it does list it. Caveat spector, of course, regarding accuracy of the source.

My truck was originally meadow green. When I first got the truck I figured that when I ever decided to paint it, it would be anything but green....LOl
But, after all these years the meadow green has grown on me, and I'm starting to lean in that direction

The numbers on the firewall include codes for assembly plant, paint color, build date and some other production codes. Start a new thread and post your numbers there. Someone will be along to decode them for you.
