53 F500 sungate ivory

After some research (thank you Abe) my grille color should be sungate ivory. Similar to this

That is really yellow. I was thinking g something more like a cream or a light tan. Any suggestions?

That is yellow. It must not be Ford's Sungate Ivory. You have the numbers I posted of Sungate Ivory?

Here's my grille.

Here is a grille on a very stock
looking 53. I don't know what paint the owner used.

Here is a very very stock 51

Not having much luck cross referencing "Sungate Ivory" My local NAPA guy, who sells Martin Senour says he can't find any of the following numbers that I have found:

Ford part number: M-2J-68 or M0068 Code L
PPG: 81897 and 80090
Dupont: 1322, 246-55874, 83-55874, 38678A, 1392
Acme/Rodgers: 45056

I was able to find Martin Senour codes 49495 and 49505 but I can't tell from a computer screen if that is what I need.

Any suggestions?

My Napa crossed referenced to their "crossfire series" paint

They did call their service support to get the formula, crossing from Dupont I believe. Some reason I think you skip the "prefix" and just use 55874 on the dupont… Should come up as "ivory"

I will look for the can and see if I can get the code for you.

I had them put some in a spray can . There are a couple different colors from 53 to 55 so I got two of them. Also you might the new ford color (creme brule ) SP I have seen it on the Lincoln suv.Good Luck. I am painting my grill and wheels that color.
