Unfortunatelly this masterpiece has been discntinued...it was very elegantly sassy, classy, fresh, clean. It had a whole lot of personality. Think of many newer perfumes...nothing like them...

I feel lucky that I wound up with a bottle of White Linen Breeze. It really is lovely and I think I might like it even better than White Linen (which I already like quite a bit).

The funny thing is that, in my opinion, it doesn’t smell much like White Linen, and feels related to it only in its freshness, lightness, and its inclination to be worn on a warm, sunny day. That and the fact that the first spray is quite intense and will tickle your nose.

For me, the overriding scents are the green notes – which are bitey and astringent at first, leaning in an herbal, wild carrot-type direction – and the apricot/osmanthus. Once the green notes calm down a bit, it’s fruity without being the kind of tropical fruit bomb one normally expects from such an adjective. That mellow apricot, mixing with a melange of other fruit notes, a hint of florals. After an hour or two, I think it’s mostly the osmanthus, some florals, and a vague gesture of the base notes.

That’s my one complaint: it’s not a strong perfume, perhaps due to the age of the bottle. Doesn’t project far, especially after the first hour, and I can get something like three hours out of it. Doesn’t even hang around on clothes that well. It’s a bummer, because it really is a lovely scent and I feel like I could go around stinking of it and be quite happy.

Oh was it discontinued? What a shame! It was such a lovely scent! I wore it around 1997. It smelled to me, like enjoying a lemonade ice lolly on the beach. Obviously I mostly got lemons but also strangely lavender. I used to get a lot of lovely compliments on it. A calming, cooling, breezy and happy scent.

I just love this easy breezy scent. More green than floral and perfectly blended into a great warm weather scent. Reminds me of Cristalle, but a little sweeter than that. Best yet, this isn't a headache in a bottle as White Linen was for me. The aldehydes were a killer but here I'm getting none of that – yet this is just as bright and fresh and sparkling as that scent. This is going to become a favorite go to next summer.

I agree 100% with other reviewers here. It's a pity this was discontinued. EL should bring it back.

This is SO good I just want to scream about it! I remember exactly how it smelled when I first bought it, & my bottle is still as fresh as ever. EL needs to release this in the spring every once in a while, in it's Original formula. It's just a sin not to! I'm gonna need another bottle & I don't want it watered down!! #Amazing

A washing line full of sheets, blowing in the middle of a Spring meadow. It seems to have more going on then the original, this one is definitely more green, it's very green, ultra fresh. I understand that companies can't produce multiple lines, but surely something else could have gone instead, this is so good, it should be available.

A terrific, upbeat version of its sister scent, White Linen. Half grassy, half linen, it's like smelling laundry out to dry.

Zyxelle

Don't understand why it is not available anymore. Used to love it. Non of the other from the 'white linen' series, come even close to the friendly clothes-on-washingline kind of smell.

Miss it dearly.

This is so beautiful.Really unique, fresh, summery and yes, breezy. It smells like freedom. A happy scent. It smells like a vacation on the beach. A perfect summer day without any worries. It is a shame that this is discontinued as many many other great fragrances. I'm happy o own a big bottle. I found it from Ebay really cheaply.I paid about 10 euros + shipping. Many people don't realize that this is NOT the same scent as the new Lauders White Linen Pure Breeze.

It's the first perfume in my life when I was 12, which was from a friends of my Mom worked in Estee Lauder. She brought a mini sized one for me as a gift on our first meeting. I falled in love with this charming scent. I cherished this special gift soooo much and it also opened my journey of fragrances exploration. I can still smell its fresh, light, clean and beautiful scent likes a dance of the spring breeze when seeing the bottle today.

A real shame that was discontinnued, this is probably the best White Linen version ever! And so classy!

I love, love and love White Linen perfume. Even I am looking for a new scent all the time I go back with my White Linen! It is delicious and very long lasting characteristc that I look ever for the perfumes.I hope it never be discontinue I could get so sad.

nananessa

I like this Breeze version better than the original White Linen.

One summer in a bottle. When I first saw its advertisment I imagined how it smells. I was sure it would be like it. I bought it without even testing it. And yes, it smelled exactly as I imagined. Airy, salty, sea-like. Feminine, yet strong and decent. Clean and clear. A summer in the city, long walks alone by the sea in the sunrise...I wore it with love, having won a great battle, the achievement of making peace with myself and getting self-confidence. A summer with a new, good friend, me...That's why I love it so much. Always in my heart...

tessture

Musty, cloying, sweet and weird. It smells like attic dust, rose water that's off and garden dirt. Perhaps my sample is off? It's not a bad smell actually, but it's darn odd and not very nice as a perfume.

ujhb

I loved this scent. I never had a full bottle, always just the samples Estee Lauder gives with their gift packages at department stores.
It doesn't remind me of linen but it's still something that has a light fresh powdery scent. There is a sweetness to it and it's a little old school smelling, something for a more mature audience, that was part of the appeal when I liked this scent as a teen, it's sophisticated.

This fragrance is quite refreshing with some fruity accords. I like to wear it sometimes, switching between the more heavy type of fragrances like YSL Opium and many others in my collection. The opening is unmistakably synthetic, but an interesting one. This fragrance does evolve. Within a few minutes of spraying the initially synthetic note starts to make way for the floral-aquatic notes. Can't pinpoint what they are but it's light refreshing. You really have to understand this fragrance in order to like it. Give it a try and give it some time and you'll love it. However, this fragrance is not easy to find nowadays just like Estee Lauder Beautiful Love.

I hate this twist on White Linen. It's completely different from the original White Linen, which I continue to love to this day & remains a top favorite.

Years ago a former boyfriend asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I said White Linen. Since it was new on the market, he wanted to impress me with White Linen Breeze. Boy was I mad when I smelled it. I now not only had a fragrance I hated, but I still didn't have the fragrance I loved which I asked for. Unhappy birthday, haha.

While the original is refreshing, crisp, clean, & bright, the Breeze version (contrary to its name) has a very dry, choking quality. Blech.

It's no wonder most people dislike this fragrance.

One floral aldehyde leads to another and each successfully marketed perfume leads to its flankers, and at last I am getting around to testing a bottle of WHITE LINEN BREEZE edp which for inscrutable reasons I acquired scent unsniffed some time ago.

The opening is loudly chemical à la CHEAP AND CHIC, but once the composition settles down, WLB reminds me very much of the smell of aerosol-canned starch on a slightly over-ironed shirt. I haven’t actually seen a can of that product in aeons (we had some in our laundry room when I was a child), and I don’t believe that I’ve even thought about it in many years. Suddenly, however, aerosol-spray starch that has been slightly tinged by too much heat is what comes to my mind on donning WHITE LINEN BREEZE, clearly providing yet more confirmation of the oppressed middle-class suburban housewife theory of EL perfumes, or so it would seem.

Obviously connected to its namesake, WHITE LINEN BREEZE comes closest to the mid-stage of WHITE LINEN edp. Unfortunately, that’s my least favorite stage (Désolée). Perhaps I should wear WHITE LINEN BREEZE when I want people to think that I’ve ironed my clothes?

maimoyditsa

it lasts VERY much! its very fresh.. i did not like it at first but then the few times i wear it everyone said oh nice perfume and i give it a try.. i cannot smell the rose .. only the pergamont!

soniamcalear

Well, I would not go out and buy a bottle of this because it is not my signature scent but I think it is pretty. It smells exactly as the name implies-linen. It smells just like clean linen out of the dryer!

Sassee

I loved this circa 1997. It was the perfume of summertime and teenage romance.

SandraS

tried it a long time ago and I thought was very nice for summer time.
