VINTAGE - This 1965 Fender Jazz Bass in a super rare ‘Firemist Gold’ with matching headstock! It’s probably the coolest and rarest Fender ‘Custom Color’ offered in the 60’s. Made in Fullerton, California, serial #113992 and the neck is stamped 7 NOV 65A. This bass was built less than a year after the CBS takeover at Fender and dates to the latter part of 1965 and shows typical features for that transitional year.

The slim tapered neck that measures 1 1/2" at the nut, has a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays and is fitted with the Fender-made tuners with the unusual "egg" shaped buttons that would be common on Jazz basses in 1966. The alder body and the headstock face have the factory original Firemist Gold finish with all original factory stock hardware , pickups and electronics.

The bridge ‘F’ chrome pickup cover is original, the neck pickup cover and thumb rest are reissue. Comes with a modern Fender Hardshell case. This bass is in excellent condition and came from the owner who originally bought it in 1969. Plays, sounds and looks Amazing!
