1941 Dodge Deluxe Business Coupe

 Just completed. Frame-on complete concours restoration. Stock original, no alterations to factory specs. 

Painted to its original color called Seaplane Blue Dark. NOS upholstery found still on the roll from the factory. Very expensive square weave Daytona blue carpeting. 

All chrome and safety glass is brand new, like everything else. No frame or body repairs were needed. No patch panels. Car found was a time capsule and had only been painted one time in 80 years. 

34,700 original miles with a recently rebuilt Fluid Drive transmission. I have owned 9 of these 1941-1948 Fluid Drive cars from Chrysler, and this one is the fastest one of them all. These Straight Six motors are bullet-proof. 

You will notice from the undercarriage photos that Chrysler did not so much as prime the floor boards. I left the undercarriage pretty much as found. Why? To show how absolutely rust-free this car is. Purchased in Oklahoma from an 87 year old gentleman who I still talk to every month. I found the assembly line build card with the color of the car #39; Seaplane Blue Dark brushed on the back of the card. This card was found between the floor and the tar paper barrier mat below the original carpet.

No disappointments here. This is simply the best 1941 Dodge 3-indow Business Coupe there is.

Rebuilt AM radio, NOS speaker and accessory antenna installed but not hooked up. Need connector.

Factory accessory NOS MOPAR road lamps are on a separate switch, as are the Halogen 6 volt head lights.

All the glass is new safety glass, except for the domed rear window which I left as is.

The enormous trunk holds approximately 8 bodies. Being a business coupe, there is no back seat.

These 3 window coupes are very rare in their original condition in that most were hot-rodded out.

Recently rebuilt Fluid Drive 4 speed transmission. Motor has never been pulled and still runs like new, no smoke from the tailpipe either.

Hydraulic brakes are new as well. All gauges are NOS. Gas tank is new with a new sending unit. Muffler is also new, with factory original pipes. NOS accessory TRICO window washer bottle and bracket. Wiper motor is not hooked up. Radiator, hoses, glove box, and weatherstrip are all brand new. Gas, brake and gas pedals are all new. All four hubcaps are NOS. Tires are only a couple years old and are the really cool 6-ribbed type. Hood ornament and running boards are NOS.

Photos do not justify how pretty this blue really is. This is one super nice motorcar.
