Recently serviced 1977 Fiat Jungla for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller's description:

Equipment includes 12″ steel wheels, an integrated roll bar, and removable half-doors. This Jungla is now offered with a clean New Jersey title in the seller's name.

The Jungla was commissioned by Gianni Agnelli as an answer to the Mini Moke, and production was handled by Carrozzeria Savio in Turin, Italy. The exterior of this second-generation example is finished in a military-style green, and features include integrated steel rear mudflaps, rectangular headlights borrowed from a Fiat 126 Minimaxi, black steel bumpers, a roll bar behind the front seats, and a black removable soft top. Adjustable square spotlights are mounted ahead of the windshield, and the seller believes that the vehicle has had some paintwork performed under previous ownership. Paint chips are noted below the driver's side door hinge mounts.

Steel 12″ wheels are finished in silver and wear black center caps and 155-12″ Ceat tires. The suspension uses a transverse leaf spring on the front and coil springs in the rear. The interior is trimmed in black vinyl, and the floors are covered in black carpets. Chain-link entry barriers are covered in clear plastic and can be installed in place of the removable half-doors. Instrumentation consists of a center-mounted Veglia Borletti 130-km/h speedometer with an integrated fuel gauge and warning lights for other systems. Maintenance performed in April 2020 included an ignition tune-up and a carburetor adjustment, and compression testing.

    How To Compute Compression Ratios
    Photo: Jeff Smith

Only the most blasé of engine builders are not concerned with compression ratios. The relationship between the volume of the cylinder with the piston at the bottom of its stroke and the volume at the top of the stroke is inherently critical to engine performance. That simple comparison can help make power, improve throttle response, increase fuel mileage, and generally is one of the most important specs on any engine, either normally aspirated or super-turbocharged.

The best way to tell the compression ratio story is to start from the beginning. The factors that affect this volume relationship include the cylinder bore, piston stroke, the volume of the combustion chamber, the shape of the piston top, the position of the piston relative to the block deck (either below or above the deck), and the thickness of the head gasket.

Personal Luxury Meets Pro Street Power In This 1975 Dodge Charger

For car enthusiasts who weren’t around in 1975, you might hear a variation of “look around, what is happening in today’s world is what happened back then.” There is a vein of truth to that. Just a few years ago, buying a car with over 700 horsepower and a warranty that was brightly colored and sounded like the devil’s personal limousine was only a matter of having enough money to cover the purchasing cost. Two-door, four-door, station wagon, sports car, all available. But sooner or later, the party ends and now we have companies trying to foist electric vehicles and small crossovers that they promise will excite in the same way. The sad truth is, they won’t. Something is lost. The “x-factor”.
