Fair’s Cruize-In draws 72 entries on warm afternoon

The Car Nutz “Cruize-In” Car Show returned to Wellington Street Aug. 14.
Several Car Nutz club members made up the 72 cars in attendance.
No best of show or judges choice was awarded at this year’s show. Judges chose the Top 25, two Best Under 21 and Top Rat Rod.
Doug Gaswick was in the Top 25 with his 1956 Ford F100. Gaswick recently finished restoring the pickup, which he drove to school.
Bridgeport’s Mike Amen, who won Best of Show in 2019 with his 1965 Pontiac GTO, was in this year’s Top 25 with a newly restored 1972 Chevrolet Nova.
    Others from Chase County in the Top 25 include Bob Colson, 1962 Chevy Impala; Duane Grosbach, 1937 GMC pickup; Craig Maris, 1967 Chevy El Camino; Dale Myers, 1929 Ford Model A pickup;  and Don Timmons, 1957 Chevy Delivery sedan.
