I bought this car new($6400) as a 24 year old in Langhorne Pa. I traded in a 1973 MGB on it that was Damask Red and got $2300 for the trade in. I've had this Leland White 1979 B all these years and the paint was still good but I have changed it to my previous MG's color since I had few choices left on car lots in 1979 when production was ending. I got it out of storage in 2018 and began restoring the car. It had no major rust but I did want to change some things and modernize it a little. It has AC now. Upgraded brakes, chrome bumpers stolen off an earlier car and rechromed. Wire wheels. New carpet. New aluminum radiator. An Oselli 2 stage engine from the UK. And other things that make it cost more than the car is ever going to be worth!!! But it was my first new car as a young girl and I paid cash. My 2nd MG and I would never part with it. It has been stored since 1983 and is almost done and I just can't wait to drive it again.
