Hands down the most requested car we get here at Classics is the R32 GTR. There's no question as to why everyone is after Godzilla either; it's the car that put Nissan on the map. The GTR is already infamous for the performance right out of the box, however, everything gets that much better when you start building up from there. The previous owner of this '93 GTR V-Spec definitely knew how much potential there was and began modifying accordingly. Right off the bat you can't help but notice the one-off Kopi Bronze paint job which was clearly not a factory optioned color. Originally leaving the factory in a far less exciting Super Black (KH3) the paint swap was a great choice. The color swap was well done with the only indication of the original color being the engine bay itself. The paint has a spectacular luster out in the sun, however, is not perfect. The front lip, for instance, does have some cracks in it from not taking an angle quite steep enough. Barring some minor imperfections like that the bodywork is in great shape. A more fitting set of gloss black 18" Nismo Rays LMGT4s sit on all four corners and seem to be the perfect color choice for the bronze paint. To make sure the wheels gap was dropped to a more acceptable height HKS coilovers were used. While not only getting rid of that dreaded wheel gap it is a strong step up to ensure that the car stays planted when you start tossing it around.

The interior has a very OEM+ feel to it which is great. The factory seats have a much sportier design, as well as considerably more bolster support than the standard 32 seats. While both front seats have a little discoloration they've been spared from the more concerning things like bolster wear or seam rips. As you would expect the back seats don't appear to have seen much use over the years since these weren't exactly your typical family car. All the main pieces for piloting this beast have been upgraded with a Momo Racing wheel and Titanium shift knob. While the gauge cluster is simply laid to make it easy to keep an eye on everything it has been upgraded to a 320km/h cluster with LED backlights to give it a more modern feel. The same goes for the Carbon Fiber wrapped center console which gives it a more sporty feel. Naturally, due to the cluster swap, the 65K miles it reads are not accurate. Atop the steering column is your HKS EVC for control over boost levels. And to keep the RB happy an A'PEXi FC Commander sits poised right behind the wheel to make it easy to access and for live monitoring of vitals. We're happy to report that this car only has a very slight sign of the infamous dash bubble that plagues all R32s. The door panels and C-pillar are also free of the delamination that can happen with these over time. All of the power accessories function as expected; power windows, mirrors, door locks, and the automatic climate control blows cold.

While all of the surface level items look great, it's what's under the hood that really matters. The 2.6 liter, twin-turbo, straight 6 has become just as iconic as the vehicle it's fitted in. What you can't see from face value is what lies under the flaked valve cover and intake piping. The RB certainly utilizes all of the available room in the engine bay which may distract you from things like the upgraded HKS turbos. While the painted valve cover certainly looks good, the engine out rebuild to Nur Spec is even better. It's safe to assume during the rebuild all of the HKS goodies were added like those bigger turbos and the oil cooler. A full turbo back HKS high flow exhaust lets the RB sing, and boy does it. Being a proper high-end exhaust it doesn't have that terrible drone at highway speeds. On the front end of things, the intake was replaced with a Nismo filter which keeps with the more stock looking engine bay. The real airflow comes from the massive ARC front-mounted intercooler that perfectly fills the front bumper. With its rebuild, the 26 fires right up and sounds more than healthy. The power delivery through the 5 speed is exceptionally linear sending power to all four wheels. The 5 speed engages with ease and feels great when rowing through the gears. The turbo's spool quickly and have no issue getting the GTR down the road, but be warned, it won't take long to get you into hot water with state troopers. As if these cars didn't already handle well thanks to the HKS coilovers, Cusco strut tower braces were added front and rear to help tie it all together. Clearly having been well maintained in Japan it didn't take much on the shop side of things. A new battery helps with startup and we've also replaced the front right outer tie rod, the HICAS arms, and a routine oil change. The GTR made itself a legend on the track that still holds true today and this is one great example of why. This is a car that has to be experienced to really appreciate just how great they drive. While we've sold more than our fair share of GTR's over the years, this may be the best one we've had to date. This one is turn-key and ready to start it's a new adventure here stateside, turning heads at every spot you go.
