Jeep Compass 2022 Trims

The 2022 Jeep Compass offers the Latitude Lux Trim which adds a sunroof, adaptive cruise control, automatic parking, and heated front seats. When comparing this year’s Jeep Compass to older year’s model, the biggest change is that there are more features available that come standard with the base trim. However, with the upgraded trims, the Compass has heated front seats, heated rear seats and even a heated steering wheel. The Compass makes a good first impression in the front of the cabin with grained soft plastics on the dash top and upper door panels, with accented stitched leather facing the driver and passenger to match. The 2022 can seat up to 5 passengers comfortably given how compact the SUV is.

Some of the upgrade features include:

  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

With a 10.1 inch touchscreen display that has a Uconnect 5 system this is the technological showpiece to the cabins’ new, more horizontal design. Smartphones can connect wirelessly to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and with the Uconnect 5 software updates are over-the-air, meaning the infotainment should be up-to-date for years to come. USB-A and USB-C ports are provided at the front of the cabin and USB-C ports in the back.

With the Jeep Compass Trailhawk models, they have added a low “crawler” gear ratio and a Rock mode that gives torque only to wheels that can find grip.

The 2022 Dodge Charger comes in many trim levels so you can choose the performance that is best for your driving style
  • The 2022 Dodge Charger is a four door muscle car that excels in style and performance, offering two different engine options.
  • The exterior design is a simpler version than previous models, but the interior makes up for it containing advanced technology, and luxury features like multiple charging ports.
  • Find the 2022 Dodge Charger for sale at Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.

In fairness to the competition, the Charger is riding on a slightly older platform. Just think of it like a slight blast from the past. You won’t find semi-autonomous driving ability nor the latest in in-cabin electronics. Still, the 2022 Dodge Charger remains competitive. Dodge offers several advanced driver-assist features like blind spot assist and rear cross-traffic alerts, an excellent Uconnect infotainment system, and, on V6 models, the option of all-wheel drive.

This uniquely American 4-door muscle car sets itself apart from other sedans for a multitude of reasons. First, not many family sedans can match the muscles and manners of the 2022 Dodge Charger. Its styling and performance is on a different level than its competitors like the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, and Hyundai Sonata. We all know the Dodge Charger’s iconic look is a part of its cool factor, but the choice between two V8 engines gives this vehicle the power to run neck and neck with some of the world’s great performance cars. In R/T form, a HEMI V8 helps the Charger achieve 60 mph in just over five seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. Those numbers come down even more in the supercharged SRT Hellcat trim, but even the base V6 can rocket the Charger to 60 mph in under seven seconds. That’s a lot of power! Let’s do a deep dive into each trim.

2022 Dodge Charger SXT

Starting at $31,350, powering the entry-level Dodge Charger SXT is a 3.6-liter V6 engine good for 292 horsepower (300 when equipped with all-wheel drive) and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Standard driver-safety and assists include electronic traction and stability control, full airbag coverage, anti-lock brakes, and hill start assist. A rear backup camera and rear parking sensors are also standard. The Charger offers more advanced driver assistance such as automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor, and lane-keeping. However, in contrast to most competitors, these systems are optional, not standard.

The Exterior

Noting the SXT’s exterior, it reveals the simplest version of the Charger image, devoid of racing stripes, fender flares, or a hood scoop. The SXT features automatic bi-functional LED projector headlights, body-colored power side mirrors, 17-inch silver alloy wheels, and variable wipers. Power windows with driver and passenger one-touch up/down come standard, as does cruise control, proximity keyless entry with push-button start, dual-zone manual climate control, a driver information display, and a detailed gauge cluster including a tachometer, 140-mph speedometer, plus temperature and fuel gauges. Unexpected features at this price include remote start, power trunk release, an acoustic windshield, and illuminated driver and passenger-side vanity mirrors.

The Interior

Cloth-covered sport seats in black come standard. The rear seats have a 60/40 split for easy access to the large trunk. The Charger also includes a tilt/telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel with touch controls for the audio, cruise, and Bluetooth. The SXT’s standard audio includes six speakers, dual USB charging ports, and an auxiliary input jack. A Uconnect infotainment system with a 7-inch touch screen provides connectivity features such as streaming Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

The Performance

The SXT gains a more powerful alternator, performance brakes, electronic stability control with sport mode, heated side mirrors, LED fog lights, 19-inch wheels, and dual-zone automatic climate control when upgraded to all-wheel drive. Also included is the Dodge Performance Pages feature that allows you to keep track of performance data, an 8-way power driver’s seat with 4-way power lumbar support, an 8.4-inch touch-screen, SiriusXM, and a performance steering wheel with paddle shifters.

Package Upgrade Options

It is important to mention that SXT bundled upgrade packages are available! The Alpine Audio Group includes nine Alpine speakers, an amplifier, and a powered subwoofer. At the same time, the Cold Weather Group adds heated side mirrors, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Additionally, The Driver’s Convenience Group adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic detection, power mirrors, HID headlights, LED fog lights, and a garage door opener.  The Technology group completes the SXTs driver-assist systems by adding forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. The package also includes dual-zone automatic climate control.Last, there are several visual upgrades packages, including the Blacktop Package. Other options included in various packages are navigation, a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, 19- and 20-inch wheels, and a six-speaker Alpine audio upgrade. A power sunroof is a standalone option.

2022 Dodge Charger GT

Starting at $33,625, The GT uses the same 300-hp V6 as the SXT AWD. Like the SXT, the GT offers the choice of rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. Beyond the performance hood and 20-inch wheels, the GT’s standard features include performance brakes, dual rear exhaust with bright tips, a performance suspension with Bilstein shocks, three-mode electronic stability control, projector LED fog lamps, and a body-colored rear spoiler.

The Exterior

With its additional exterior upgrades, including a hood scoop and larger wheels, the GT is the better buy versus the SXT because you get the visual appeal of the more expensive R/T without the added cost or lower fuel economy. Score!

The Interior

The GT’s cabin features an 8-way power driver’s and passenger seat with 4-way power lumbar support, an Alpine six-speaker audio system, an 8.4-inch touch-screen infotainment upgrade with SiriusXM satellite radio, and a CD/DVD/MP3 player.

The Performance

In addition to the SXT’s options list, the GT offers the Performance Handling Group with black Brembo fixed caliper 4-piston brakes, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, a high-performance suspension, and 20-inch Black Noise wheels with all-season performance 245/45ZR20 tires. This package is not available with all-wheel drive. Also, the Plus Group adds a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, memory for the driver’s seat, mirrors and power steering wheel, a heated steering wheel, heated side mirrors, HID headlights, and LED interior lighting. The package also includes Nappa and Alcantara seating and 20×8-inch Satin Carbon wheels (rear-drive GT only).

2022 Dodge Charger R/T

Starting at $39,745 the R/T is the first of the Charger lineup to get as standard a 5.7-liter HEMI V8. With 370 hp on tap, this engine gives the Charger the power to reach 60 mph in just over five seconds. Beyond the big V8 engine, the R/T builds off the GT’s standard equipment list by offering a thicker rear axle (220 mm vs. 195 mm), an active performance exhaust, 20-inch Satin Carbon wheels, and a 160-mph speedometer.

In the R/T wheelhouse of available equipment are the previously mentioned Driver Convenience Group, Performance Handling Group, Technology Group, and Cold Weather Group. However, a Daytona Edition Group adds leather and Alcantara sport seats, Mopar cold air intake, a memory system for seats, steering wheel, and mirrors, plus a blind-spot monitor. Also included is a gloss black instrument panel cluster, a padded dash, a security alarm, heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, LED interior lighting, a black one-piece rear spoiler, and Daytona decals. Last, the Harman Kardon Audio Group can add 19 Harman Kardon Greenedge speakers that use less power than conventional speakers, thus requiring a less powerful amp to achieve stunning sound.

2022 Dodge Charger Scat Pack

The Performance

Starting at $44,070, the Scat Pack actually builds off the R/T with an even more powerful 485-hp 392-cubic-inch V8 under the hood. A beefed-up 8-speed automatic is included, as are several electronic systems aimed at improving track performance. The Scat Pack gets fitted with a larger rear axle, beefed-up suspension and steering, Brembo performance brakes, a limited-slip differential, 3.09 rear axle ratio, and the Severe Duty II upgraded engine cooling system. The Scat Pack includes Launch Control (improves acceleration from a standing stop by diminishing tire spin), Launch Assist (uses wheel sensors to minimize wheel hop that could damage the driveline), and Line Lock (activates the front brakes but leaves the rear brakes off, facilitating easier burnouts). This Charger pack is perfect for anyone’s need for speed. The Performance Pages are upgraded to SRT levels, while the speedometer goes to 180 mph. SRT configurable drive modes include Sport, Track, and Custom settings, allowing the driver to control the transmission shift times, steering feel, adaptive damping, paddle shifters, and traction control. Additionally, amenities for the Scat Pack include driver’s seat memory, heated cloth performance front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a deluxe security alarm

Package Upgrade Options

Scat Pack options include the Daytona Edition Group, Driver Convenience Group, Technology Group, and the Plus Group. Navigation and the 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system are also available. Unique to the Scat Pack is the Widebody Package that brings wider wheels, fender flares, Widebody competition suspension, adaptive damping, Brembo six-piston brakes, a performance shift indicator, and 20-inch wheels with 305/35ZR20 performance tires. The Dynamics Package adds a leather flat-bottom steering wheel, Brembo brakes, and 20-inch wheels with 275/40ZR20 all-season tires. The Carbon Fiber and Suede package adds authentic carbon fiber interior accents and a Dinamica suede headliner. Just picture yourself behind the wheel of this bad boy.

2022 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

Starting at $74,450, the Charger SRT Hellcat and its more powerful twin, the SRT Hellcat Redeye (est. $82,000), embody the pinnacle of Dodge performance technology. These “family sedans” are like four-door sports cars, offering more power than some exotic supercars costing hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The Performance

Under the hood, the SRT Hellcat packs a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 dishing up 717 hp. The Hellcat Redeye uses the same engine but with different tuning to produce a head-turning 797 hp, making the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world!

The Widebody package comes standard on the Hellcats, as do the six-piston Brembo brakes from the Scat Pack’s Dynamics Package. The Hellcat gets fitted with a 2.62 rear axle ratio and the Race Cooldown cooling system. The Redeye even goes a step further with a Super Chiller system that uses A/C refrigerant to cool the supercharger after shutdown and the open airbox from the Daytona Package. Now that’s a smart car for not being a “smart car.” The Hellcat also gets three-mode adaptive Bilstein shocks with setting for Sport, Track, and Auto. In Auto mode, the shocks automatically adjust to road conditions, while the Sport setting firms up the ride for better high-speed maneuvers. Track mode shifts as much weight as possible over the rear wheels, helping improve traction.

Torque Reserve helps reduce supercharger lag, while HID headlights help light up the night. Blind-spot monitoring is standard, but other driver-assists found in the Technology Package are not available to the SRT Hellcat, this trim isn’t exactly for the faint of heart!

The Interior

The SRT’s price includes a power driver and passenger seat, a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, ventilated Laguna leather front seats, and heated rear seats. The Alcantara Package upgrades the seats to Laguna leather with suede inserts and an Alcantara-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel. Notable options include navigation, the Harman Kardon 19-speaker audio upgrade, and Satin Black painted hood, roof, deck lid, and spoiler.

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk V-6 is out and this SUV tears it up with a stylish look and the power of a truck
  • The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a high performing SUV that offers new features specifically made for off-road adventures.
  • Notable aspects of the 2022 Jeep Cherokee performance include the 3.6-liter V6 engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and an upgraded air suspension system that makes for a smooth ride.
  • Find the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee for sale at Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.

With a name like Trailhawk, it’s obvious that this 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a great off-roader. With advanced four-wheel-drive systems, tons of ground clearance, and available air suspension, this vehicle was made for rough terrain. What you might not guess, however, is that this SUV also performs beautifully during a night on the town, or even carpool duties, due to its luxurious interior and styling. All-in-all, the 2022 Jeep Trailhawk is truly the best of both worlds!

The Basics Of The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee

It should come as no surprise that this Trailhawk model’s trim was created with off-roading in mind. With only two rows of seats available, it comes with a standard Quadra-Drive II four-wheel-drive system as well as an electronic limited-slip rear differential. The 2022 Jeep also has a Quadra-Lift air suspension, a disconnecting sway bar and standard 18-inch aluminum wheels crowned with Goodyear Wrangler all-terrain tires.

Power and Performance

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is powered by a 3.6-liter V6, which is such an excellent base engine that it comes standard in all models. The Stellantis’ Pentastar V6 is smooth throughout the rev range and even quiet, producing a  class-competitive 293 horsepower, as well as 260 pound-feet of torque. The SUV’s V6 allows the vehicle to tow up to 6,200 pounds.

An eight-speed automatic transmission assists the 2022 Trailhawk accelerate effortlessly. The gearbox shifts smoothly, and when you roll on the accelerator, it drops to gears to allow the V6 engine to relax; the model does this particularly well at higher engine revs. Setting itself apart from other SUVs, the Jeep Trailhawk’s throttle response and transmission are significantly energized by switching to sport mode.

Driving

This is an absolutely solid vehicle: unyielding and strong. The ride feels comfortable, but sturdy and controlled, as the air suspension absorbs any problems without letting the body flop around. The suspenders are adjustable, and really useful when off-roading, because they give you up to 11.3 inches of ground clearance.

Steering proves to be interesting, as the thick-set wheel again gives a feeling of sturdiness, but the vehicle shockingly feels smaller and more spry than you’d think.

Interior

However you look at it, the interior is impressive. Leather seats, delicate stitching, hard plastic, and piano black trim all tie together in a way that feels both luxurious and comforting.

The power front seats prove for long lasting comfort, and are both heated and ventilated in the model. Similarly, the second-row bench offers plenty of head and legroom, supporting seat cushions, as well as seat warmers. In terms of the dashboard, the 2022 Trailhawk comes with easy to reach and well placed controls, such as the shifter, air vents and the 8.4-inch infotainment screen with navigation.

Optional (And Worth It) Additions

For starters, a 10.1-inch screen is available for the Trailhawk, which boasts crisper quality and a Uconnect 5 infotainment system that’s very easy to use. There’s also the optional digital rearview mirror and 10.3-inch passenger-side display. This dashboard-mounted touch screen allows the shotgun rider to adjust the model’s cameras, enter a destination into the navigation system or enjoy their own entertainment through Bluetooth-paired devices or an HDMI port.

More optional features include automatic headlamps and high beams, LED fog lights, remote start and a heated steering wheel. The Luxury Tech III package rewards you with rain-sensing windshield wipers, second-row sunshades, a hands-free power liftgate and more, while the Advanced Protech Group II adds on parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, and night vision complete with pedestrian and animal detection.

Closing Thoughts

Overall, the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is the full-package. Capable enough to climb mountains, but refined enough to drive through town. This SUV is perfect for all of your needs, whatever they may be.

2022 Chrysler 300

May 10, 2022
2022 Chrysler 300 In Black
  • 2022 Chrysler 300 models include the Touring, Touring L, 300S V6, and 300S V8 with a price between $33,000 and $46,000.
  • The 2022 Chrysler 300 features its normal luxurious interior and exterior details with an unexpected plethora of advanced safety features.
  • Find the 2022 Chrysler 300 for sale at Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.

With Chrysler slowly working towards the “people moving” brand, they still uphold the title of being one of the top luxury car options amongst automakers. The Chrysler 300 made its first debut back in 2005 as a four-door luxury vehicle, and again in 2011 the second generation was released with new upgrades and features. Well, 11 years have passed, and Chrysler has yet again revealed the Chrysler 300 that is now in its 3rd generation, and better than ever. This four-door luxury sedan still holds the key components that consumers have loved since the first generation like having a V-6 powertrain, eight-speed automatic rear-wheel drive, a comfortable and spacious cabin, etc. There have already been 2 generations with modest differences. So, what makes the 2022 Chrysler 300 better?

Chrysler 300 Models

To start, we’ll tell you all four of the model names and prices. The model names along with their starting prices are listed below:

  • Touring ($33,740)
  • Touring L ($37,240)
  • 300S V6 ($42,350)
  • 300S V8 ($45,350)

As you can see, the Chrysler 300 price, specifically the V8 is over $10,000 more than the Touring. We know that whether it’s a black Chrysler 300 or a white Chrysler 300 or any other color that they offer wouldn’t necessarily make the price jump that much, so let’s take a look at the 2022 Chrysler 300 features.

Chrysler 300 Features & Specs

Exterior Details

Starting off with the exterior color options, for the V6 they offer gloss-black and bright white for no additional charge, granite crystal metallic for an additional $195, silver mist also for an additional $195, and the last available color is velvet red for an additional whopping $495. More exterior details minus the exterior part, the 2022 Chrysler 300 will have keyless ignition, a rear view camera, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, audio and cruise controls. A lot of the exterior overall image closely resembles the first and second generations, however, some say that this third generation gives a more muscular look.

Interior Details

Chrysler is known as a luxury automaker for a reason. With their previous generation interiors being equipped with cloth seats, the new Chrysler 300 is fashioned with leather-trimmed sport seats and ventilated leather trim sports seats. There are also adaptable headrests, door sill scuff pads, heated front and second row seats, heated steering wheel, illuminated front and rear cupholders, power backlight sunshade, pocket lights throughout, trunk mats, memory for radio, driver seat and exterior mirrors, and more. What more could you ask for? All these features are available on all except the base model.

The cargo space is also fairly spacious, allowing room for 6 carry-on suitcases in the trunk and with the seats folded, it will allow a total of 10. But keep in mind that though the seats can be split in 60/40 arrangements, they don’t fold completely flat. The 2022 Chrysler 300 also contains a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment that has CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces, a SiriusXM satellite radio with a one-year trial period, as well as an in-dash navigation.

Additional Details

Aside from the exterior and interior details, this 2022 Chrysler 300 has safety and driver-assistance features that come with the Safety Tec Plus package that is available for all the base models. Some of the key safety features include an automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assistance. The available limited warranty covers three years or 36,000 miles; the powertrain warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles. The V6 has a 3.6 liter under the hood with an estimate of 30 mpg in the real-world testing.

Dodge Has Jokes

Apr 15, 2022

  • Auto Brand Dodge has announced their plans for future electric muscle cars as well as the introduction of a new hydrogen powered vehicle: The Dodge Hydra.
  • The Dodge Hydra will be released in 2023, whereas the all electric Dodge is set to be released in 2024.
  • Find Dodge cars for sale at Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.

On April Fool’s Day of 2022, Dodge announced that although they will be producing an all electric vehicle, they will also be producing something more their style: a hydrogen powered vehicle, replacing the notorious Hellcat Charger with the Dodge Hydra. Unfortunately, this is an April Fool’s joke. If you fell for the joke, don’t beat yourself up about it, we fell for it too. However, we are wondering if this “joke” could become a reality? Dodge has revealed that in 2022 they will be introducing 3 NEW vehicles, and that’s not a joke.

Dodge Brotherhood of Muscle Rundown

The well known and loved Dodge Charger Muscle cars have been around since the 1960s and 70s. They are known for their incredible speed, horsepower, sound and style. With the ever changing requirements from lawmakers, Dodge has been able to keep their muscle cars up to date with no problem. However, the muscle car director admitted that they might have jumped the gun with announcing the Dodge EV due to pressure from their competitors. So, when Dodge revealed that they were going to be releasing the Dodge Hydra, a hydrogen powered vehicle in 2023, before the release of the EV set to release in 2024, we were skeptical.

Could Dodge Hydra be the Future?

The Parthenon Where The Dodge Hydra Could Exist

In the past, when people thought of cars of the future, a depiction of flying cars was often the expectation. But automakers have come up with an even more challenging and environmentally friendly car: A hydrogen powered vehicle. In the ongoing April Fools joke, the director of the muscle car development, spoke about the name “Hydra” comparing it to the mythological creature where if one head is cut off, two heads grow back. Chopping off the combustion aspect, the first head growing back would be an electric vehicle and the second head would be a hydrogen running vehicle. But this new name is not the only thing Dodge mentioned about upgrading. They talked about the possibility of a vehicle having 800 horsepower, which is notably higher than their past vehicles coming in at 400-600. Dodge automakers are asking all of the necessary questions of why someone would sell their 2021-2022 Dodge Hellcat and upgrade to the future vehicles that are taking over the market. With the 3 new Dodge cars, there is talk about new interior designs, better gas mileage, and an overall new and better feel to the muscle car design. If their goal is to make people want to switch to the new Dodge cars, then they are on the right track by including new upgrades in multiple aspects.

Although Dodge gave the public one of the best April Fool’s jokes, the thought of a Dodge hydrogen powered vehicle is very intriguing and we absolutely can’t wait to see what they produce not only for the Dodge EV, but also the other new Dodge vehicles. Here at Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM, we will carry the newest models of Dodge. Aside from carrying new models, we also carry a large variety of other vehicles ranging from electric, to gas powered, and possibly hydrogen powered. If you have a special request, we can fulfill it because here at Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, we put our customers first. To learn more about what we can offer you, talk more about the upcoming models of Dodge, or just to talk shop, stop by in person or give us a call and we guarantee that all your questions will be answered by a professional.

Jeep Logo From 1980s
  • The history of autobrand Jeep is a rich one filled with models from over 80 years ago including the first military vehicles.
  • Evolution of Jeep since the beginning, splitting up models via decade.
  • The future of Jeep is bright with fully electric Jeeps and you can find them for sale at Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.

Jeep: a small, sturdy motor vehicle with four-wheel drive, especially one used by the military. The first definition of Jeep has been long surpassed by its capabilities of just serving as a military vehicle. For 80 years now, Jeep has been an SUV, truck, and even a combination of the two. It has been through war, hardships, and even a pandemic–but they are still going strong. Let’s take a look at the evolution of Jeep to see just how far they’ve come:

The First Jeeps

Willys Ma

Willys Quad (top photo) is the very first Jeep that was made back in 1940 to serve as a U.S. military vehicle. The military solicited 135 automakers for a military specific vehicle and only 3 decided to take the challenge in creating a vehicle with the difficult parameters. Those automakers were Bantam, Willys, and Ford. They collectively produced the vehicle that we know today as the Jeep. Now it is still a mystery of who/how they came up with the name Jeep, but there have been several theories out there. But we’ll let your imagination take on that question.

Jeeps Of The 1940’s

1940-1946 the names of the Jeep models seemed to focus around the name “Willy”; Willys Ma (black & white photo above), Willys MB, Willys Overland Truck, and a personal favorite, Willys Wagon (above photo). After the war, Jeep made its way into farmlands, becoming the number 1 vehicle for farmers–who woulda thought?! The Jeep has been named the “work vehicle” because it never fails to get the job done.

The photo above is of a Jeep and its first interior updates. Aside from more cushiony seats, this particular model includes a single windshield wiper on the drivers side so even though you might be soaking wet, your windshield will be clear. All jokes aside, the early years of Jeep made some really impressive models, some that other automakers are still striving to replicate. Take the 1948 Jeepster for example (photo below). This is the very first Jeep convertible that gives vibes of youthful, sporty, and a little bit of Cruella DeVille.

Jeeps Of The 1950’s

Jumping to the 1950s, Jeep was bought by Henry J. Kaiser, who officially named the company “Willys Motor inc.”.  During the 1950s Willys Motor inc. was named the world’s largest 4-wheel drive automaker. With Jeep growing in popularity, it was time for the company to start meeting regular civilian needs, like a vehicle with more space. Thus the Jeep CJ-6 was born (photo above). The 1950s were a crazy time for Jeep, exploring all of the possibilities of a vehicle, including this 1957 Jeep FC-150 (photo below) that looks like it came right out of Bob the Builder:

Jeeps Of The 1960’s & 1970’s

Going right along in the 1960s, we start to see more of the Jeep classics, such as this blast from the past, 1963 Jeep Wagoneer, aka the American dream car.

This very first luxury 4×4 SUV was every parent’s dream back in the day. This style of vehicle was number 1 in the U.S. for 28 years with only minor mechanical updates. That’s one of the longest same-vehicle production models in the history of U.S. vehicles! Sneaking a peek into the 1970s, Jeep’s models of the truck were starting to take off thanks to this special edition J4800 Camper (photo below). Going along with the idea of a work truck,  Jeep made several models of Jeep that include the Honcho, aka J-10 or J-20 (photo below camper) that were small 4 wheel drive pickup trucks. With the Honcho, which means boss, they worked with other brands like Levi, who did the denim interior of this truck.

The last 1970s Jeep vehicle we’ll take a peek at is the Jeep Golden Eagle Package (photo above) which features the first Jeep sunroof. Aside from including the luxury aspect of a mesh top with a sunroof, this Golden Eagle Jeep also had a clock.

The Jeeps Of Today

Jeeps Of The 1980’s & 1990’s

Jumping right into the 1980s, this iconic compact SUV is a rare sight in the 21st century, BUT we must admit that it’s pretty impressive when you see this oldie driving around town with ease. Now that’s what we call aging with beauty. During the 1980’s, we see some big changes in the evolution of Jeep. The first design of this Jeep Cherokee XJ (below top) was made out of clay and took $250 million to actually create. It makes sense how it’s still around in 2022. Taking notes from the $250 million creation, the Jeep designers in the 1990s didn’t hesitate to draw inspiration from this authentic design, creating the 1993 Jeep Grand Wagoneer (below middle) as well as the 1997 Jeep Wrangler (below bottom)  that was popular well into the early 2000s.

Jeeps Of The 2000’s

Looking more closely at the last decade, Jeep’s design has grown more modern but also sticking to their roots with the ideas of a military vehicle working towards freedom, and justice. The names of the models go along with the overall theme and goal of Jeep: Jeep Liberty-2022 (below top), Jeep Wrangler Unlimited-2004 (below middle), and the Jeep Patriot-2007 (MK) (below right), just to name a few.

Jeeps Of The 2010’s

The 2010s are when Jeep impacted customers to the point where their global sales increased immensely and by 2016 they had sold 1.41 millions units. All models that helped this brand really pick up the pace are still widely sold and bought. A few examples being, the Jeep Renegade-2015 (below top), the Jeep Compass-2017 (below middle), and the most updated version of the Jeep Wrangler-2019 (below right). Jeep has been making big moves since the very beginning. We are happy to announce that Jeep now has two windshield wipers instead of just one, with an extremely impressive and luxurious interior. Regardless of if it’s 1940 or 2022, Jeep has always kept the same goal when releasing new models of their vehicles: Go Anywhere, Do Anything with Jeep. To learn more about the evolution of Jeep, we encourage you to visit the Jeep website

Looking Ahead At The Jeeps Of Tomorrow

The evolution of Jeep continues into the 22nd century with the “futuristic” changes for tomorrow. Jeep has already done it yet again with releasing teaser photos of an all electric Jeep set to release in 2023. It’s only the third month of 2022 and we already can’t wait for this year to be over. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been hardly any information released about this All Electric Jeep, except for the teaser photos, but the photos alone have us saying, oh me, oh my, I want that Jeep. After looking at some of Jeep’s very first models, we can definitely see where they drew their inspiration from.

Virtual Frame of RAM Electric Truck
  • The new launch of Ram’s new website allows customers to give their input on the production of electric Ram trucks.
  • No specific numbers were claimed when discussing the RAM 1500 EV’s maximum tow rating, RAM claimed their All Electric Pickup Truck will be able to pull more than its EV competitors.
  • Find the 2024 Ram 1500 for sale at Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.

RAM, the brand known for its “Guts. Glory. RAM” ads, is creating a new legacy to be remembered by – the brand is taking an unconventional and unique approach to the creation and development of the RAM 1500 EV, the first RAM electric truck. By launching a website as well as implementing a yearlong talking tour, RAM asks for feedback and input regarding the production of the company’s first All Electric Pickup Truck, set to launch in 2024.

The Revolution of RAM

With the release of RAM’s new website called Ram Revolution, RAM wants to give regular everyday people the chance to provide input on and learn more about the production of the RAM Electric Pickup Truck and its design. RAM Revolution, which went public recently, allows RAM to hear the wants and needs, worries and concerns, and questions that consumers have about the RAM 1500 EV. Users of the site also have access to updates, as well as exclusive content and information about the RAM Electric Truck. Finally, according to RAM, the website is intended to educate consumers more deeply about the development process of electric vehicles at the company.

The strategy RAM has adopted in the production of the All Electric Pickup Truck is truly revolutionary. By involving customers, taking in their feedback and concerns, RAM is sure to produce a great product that not only they can be proud of, but also anyone who submitted their input or expressed their thoughts and opinions. Additionally, the brand provides an amazing way of crowdsourcing and gaining traction. While there’s no promise about what RAM will do with the feedback they receive, we are hopeful that the brand will take the public’s input to heart and create a truck everyone will love.

The RAM Electric Truck Is Getting Real

RAM Revolution isn’t the only thing up the brand’s sleeve however. RAM also plans to conduct a yearlong talking tour, dubbed the RAM Real Talk Tour. With similar intentions as the website, the tour’s aim is to get feedback from RAM owners; finding out what they actually need and want from electric trucks and vans in their everyday lives.

Through the RAM Real Talk Tour, RAM proves to be a huge fan of alliteration, and more importantly it shows that they care about their customers’ opinions and needs. The tour will also be an amazing plan, as it strengthens the consumer and brand relationship, helps the company define its future, and allows RAM to begin offering electrified models in most segments as early as 2025.

The RAM Electric Truck So Far

In General:

As we already know, the RAM 1500 EV will be the first RAM pickup truck powered completely by electricity and will be released in 2024. The RAM Electric Truck is expected to have conventional body-on-frame construction and standard all-wheel drive, as stated by RAM. Additionally, it will have a driving range of up to 500 miles (200 miles longer than the longest-range F-150 Lightning can achieve). More specific details about the capabilities and actions of the RAM EV have yet to be announced, but we can make predictions based on the statements released by RAM.

Predictions:

While no specific numbers were claimed when discussing the RAM 1500 EV’s maximum tow rating, RAM claimed their All Electric Pickup Truck will be able to pull more than its EV competitors. Currently, the industry leader for EV trucks– the F-150 Lightning– has an official maximum towing capacity of 10,000 pounds, so we can expect the RAM electric truck’s max to exceed that.

Similar to towing capacity, there are no certain figures regarding the RAM 1500 EV’s battery size or charging times. However, estimations claim that the All Electric Pickup Truck will be able to charge at a rate of up to 150 kWh.

Counting Down Till 2024…

With the amount of customer involvement, effort, and collaboration going into the RAM 1500 EV, we know that the company’s first ever All-Electric Pickup Truck will be a huge success. Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram will be patiently waiting for 2024 to come because we can’t wait for this amazing vehicle to hit our floor! Of course, we will continue to give updates and information about the truck’s production, but please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have about the RAM 1500 EV, RAM Revolution, or RAM Real Talk Tour.

  • This Jeep Wrangler 4xe is the most eco-friendly Jeep yet.
  • Find the 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe for sale at Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.

Buckle your seatbelts because the 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is a groundbreaking new ride. Regarded by Jeep as the “First Electrified Open-Air SUV” and “the Most Planet-Friendly Wrangler Ever”, this Jeep 4xe is a force to be reckoned with.

About the Jeep Wrangler 4xe

So obviously this Jeep Hybrid is revolutionary, but for more reasons than one. First, the power has been enhanced– accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. The Jeep 4xe supplies 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque for both on-road and off-road capabilities. The impressive torque has led to this SUV being the first ever PHEV with front and rear locking differentials. Not to mention, the propulsion system of the vehicle combines two motors– a 2.0L turbocharged engine and an electric motor– for an almost silent propulsion and upgraded off-road capabilities. With all of these features, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe’s rock-crawling capabilities and speed off the line have improved.

Even more new features available for Jeep include the sturdy new Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) Gorilla Glass Windshield, coming straight from the factory, as well as new exterior paint colors: Silver Zynith Metallic Clear Coat and High Velocity Metallic Clear Coat. These paints prove to be striking additions to the Wrangler’s previous color palette of Black, Bright White, Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal Metallic, Hydro Blue, as well as Snazzberry and Sarge Green, which are only available on the Sahara. Each of the exterior paint options will be offered with a soft top, or, depending on trim level, a black or body-color hardtop.

Driver-friendly, Planet-Friendly

The “Most Planet-Friendly Wrangler Ever” is a big claim to live up to– but Jeep 4xe isn’t scared of a challenge. The vehicle offers three different driving modes to choose from:  electric, e-save, and hybrid. Electric mode can be activated when the vehicle has more than a 1% charge, it allows for almost zero tailpipe emissions up to highway speed, and can stay in this mode for up to 21 miles. The E-Save mode focuses on the 2.0L engine, saving battery charge for later usage. In E-Save mode, when power demand is low, the engine will shut off. Finally, the Hybrid mode combines both previous options, creating maximum horsepower, instant torque, and the optimal acceleration. In the Hybrid mode, electric power is consumer first. So, you can drive around your city in full electric with zero emissions as well as travel far efficiently.

The Jeep Brand is also making a huge step towards a sustainable Earth by installing solar-powered charging stations on major trails in the United States. Sure to excite both the adventurous and the environmentally-conscious, you can get a full charge before venturing on the trails.

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe takes its technology to the next level for 2022. These new features, all standard for the new Jeep Hybrid, are joined with previous standards such as Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Path Detection, rearview camera, and front and rear Park Assist.

Another amazing technological advancement of the Jeep Electric is Uconnect Services, installed with the aim of combining ease, connectivity, and functionality. Two Dodge Muscle Cars
  • It’s the end of an era with auto brand Dodge retiring the much loved Dodge Challenger and Charger in 2024.
  • The future of Dodge muscle cars entails all electric, hybrid, and a third model that is yet to be revealed.
  • Find the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger for sale at Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.

Dodge is anticipating a busy two years as they are planning a plug-in hybrid, an EV, and a third vehicle as they are saying goodbye to the Challenger coupe as well as the Charger sedan. The production of these two popular vehicles is anticipated to end in two years when Dodge will be replacing them with new cars on new platforms. In addition to these new vehicles, Dodge is also planning on producing a battery-powered RAM 1500 as well as other electric trucks.

Muscle Cars Are Changing

CEO Tim Kuniskis announced this July that Dodge would obtain their first pure EV in 2024. This muscle car will be much faster than past Dodge vehicles. They come from STLA Large which is said to give around 500 miles from one single charge. These battery sizes will also range from 101-118 kilowatt hours which are specifically designed for muscle cars and all-wheel drive vehicles. Stellantis CEO, Carlos Tavares has said that 98 percent of models coming from 14 brands in North America and Europe will be electrified by 2025. Kuniskis has stated the electric muscle car concept will be released by late 2022. It will run on Stellantsis’s “STLA large EV” platform that will run to around 500 miles of range. Batteries and motors are the natural evolution of these vehicles, as technology is now consistently being used to enhance many vehicles. This “e-muscle” vehicle is said to have a super retro look as well as include a reincarnated Fratzog logo.

New Plug-In Hybrid

Dodge will be launching their plug-in hybrid in 2022, potentially a smaller SUV. These will have much better fuel economy than Dodge’s past conventional vehicles. Dodge has also teased their audience with both the Fratzgo name as well as their logo. It was first used in the 60’s, simply to describe a logo. It is very high tech and modern looking. Kuniskis also says it looks like it represents electrification. To differentiate Dodge’s electric vehicles from the rest, they will place the Fratzog symbol only on the all new electric vehicles.

Third New Model Coming

There are not many new details on the third vehicle Dodge is releasing, but Kuniskis says it will be extremely significant to the brand by the end of the year. This third model will be released in addition to the all new plug-in hybrid car as well as the battery electric Dodge car. Dodge is also bringing back Direct Connection performance parts and kits, which is also very important for these muscle vehicles.

The Future of Dodge

Currently, Dodge only has three nameplates on aging platforms. Stellantis CEO has given each of the automakers brands a total of 10 years to execute their businesses and product plans. This news will be extremely helpful to a brand like Dodge. As Dodge has only had two main vehicles for many years, the release of these new models should increase their sales. Kuniskis has stated that the Challenger has stayed consistent with sales, and has had one of their most successful years. Older models, such as the Hellcat models are said to not last past 2023, especially after the production of Dodges all new vehicles. Dodge has also released its “never lift” campaign. This campaign is used to project an exciting announcement for the brand every few months.
