1987 Ford F150 – Kent M.

Who's Laughing Now I purchased my F-150 in 1995 it wasn't running well. It had an exhaust leak, gas leak, leaked oil everywhere and it had a backyard spray can paint job. My wife and kids named my truck Fred (Sanford and Son sitcom) saying it was a Junk yard truck. I didn't like the name but after time it stuck. I tried to explain my vision, but everyone just laughed and said Yea Right! I ended up parking Fred 04/2007 the fuel leak had gotten worse and I was too lazy to bother with it. After a few ... read more >>

1987 Chevy C10 – Paul J.

My First Truck I'm from a small town in Louisiana and the first time I seen my 1987 Chevy C-10 Custom Deluxe was after church in the summer of 1989. He was just sitting there on the lot on the other side of the closed gate, at a small local dealership. I had to work the next 2 weeks and could only see my truck on Sunday after church. On the 3rd Sunday, I told my Dad that I found my truck and I wanted him to see it, so we drove back up that evening and we stood ... read more >>

1987 Chevy Silverado – Michael A.

1987 Chevy Silverado 6.2L Diesel I bought this truck used in 1988 with only 23,000 km on it. I am well past 400,000 km now and still going. With its 8-foot box, this truck serves me well for both work and pleasure. It has survived the ravages of our Canadian winters. I would like to extend much appreciation to Becky and the LMC staff. LMC's vast inventory of hard-to-get parts has made it possible to keep this classic on the road.

1987 Chevy Silverado – Jimmie G.

Here are photos of my 87 Silverado. It is the last of the “square” body and came equipped with the 350, throttle body engine. I bought the truck new in Feb 1987. From then until the end of 2000 I drove it 60 miles a day to work and back. It also took me all over the state of Texas while I was competing in the Texas Policer Rodeo Association. The transmission had to be rebuilt at 316,000 miles, the engine at 319,000. I could not get rid of a truck that faithful, so I just retired it from ... read more >>

1987 Chevy Blazer – Kent L.

Love For The K5 In 2013 I found the 1987 in Colorado and brought it back to Nebraska. I started to put a manual 4 speed in it from a 700r and a new exhaust system from LMC. The build slowed down. Then in 2017 got serious on the build paint to interior. Then in November 2019, a LS 6.0 vortec swap. Time to start enjoying the-old new K5.

1987 Chevy Silverado – Jason V.

Family Tradition My grandfather and pops both always had a square body Chevy when I was growing up. This began my love for them. Found this one owner '87 in the classifieds up around Knoxville, TN several years ago. Me and my dad went and picked up the truck. Took 10 hours to make a 4 hour trip home to western KY due to over heating. A trip we still laugh about. Fresh engine rebuild (stock 350), trans rebuild, cooling upgrade, fixed A/c, and made it my new daily driver. Thanks to LMC I was able to get all ... read more >>

1987 Chevy S-10 -John C.

The Truck is Lost but not Forgotten. I had a truck 20 yrs ago that I had to sell. Well life happens and you go on, but it lingers in the back of your mind. So fast forward through the years 2 marriages kids, college, their vehicles and looming is that truck. Well now disabled and nothing to do. So I put an LTB on Facebook s10 for no more than $200. 3 months go by and I decided to delete my post 2 weeks later I get a message asking if I 'm still wanting to buy an ... read more >>

1987 Chevy C20 – James A

Big Blue In 1987 my Father and I were looking for a truck to help us with our furniture restoration business. With trouble finding a used one, we decided to buy new. We ended up purchasing a 1987 Chevy 20 Custom Delux. After several years of proud ownership, the name Big Blue was coined as to its deep Chevy blue color. As time and age took its toll on her skin, she became known as Big Rust or the Rusty turd! I finally got the money and time to have the truck repaired and painted. Thanks to LMC for ... read more >>

1987 Chevy S10 – Jim H.

Back to Minitrucks After 23 Years I owned three minitrucks during the years 1976 to 1996. In moving to Texas in 1996, I sold my 1986 Mazda B2000 extended cab and thought my truck days were over. Twenty-three years later, I spotted this 1987 Chevy S10 with 281,000 miles, but good bones, while at a car show put on by our local high school auto tech students. In addition, the truck was "hauling" a 1970 Honda Minitrail built as a project by the students. The students needed to sell the CT-70 to have funds for a ... read more >>

1987 Chevy C10 – Jerry K

Finally, I Got Mine! Since I was a child I fell in love with old trucks and have fond memories surrounding them. Having been born in 1965 my first love was the 69-72 Chevys. As I grew older my father purchased a 75 Ford F150 with a 390 in it for his painting business. I loved that old truck and helping my father work from it. But then my uncle bought the first square body in the family a 76 Chevy Scottsdale campers special to pull his camper with. There was just something about that old ... read more >>

1987 Chevy 1500 Joseph G.

Memories As a 16-year-old kid, my stepdad had a white 87' Chevy dropped with a shell on it, wasn't really my style but he suddenly passed away and the truck was given to me after about a year or so. I unfortunately totaled it. Now 30 years old, I was just recently given the opportunity to purchase another 87' chevy in which I jumped at it. It was the style and luckily the color I love. I am now a proud owner of 1987 square body k10 chevy that will remain mine forever!! ... read more >>

1987 Ford Ranger – Pat P.

My brother bought this truck in 1993. He has owned and spoiled it until I got it from him. This truck has been garage-kept all its life. It has a 2.9 L V6 that has been replaced with matching engine (original engine had rebuilt) with hooker pro steel, nerf bars, six off road lights, and 3-inch lift. Everything works great. Rarely driven so it spends a lot of time in the garage.
