I understand, I have my own dealer horror stories as well. But, for the Dealer at Tolliver Ford in Mineola Texas this was their first Maverick order and sales. They were happy to have it for a day to be able and look around. I picked it up Wednesday about 4:30 PM and we drove it home. When we got home it was dark so I didn't look it over any. Yesterday I drove it to Tyler which is about a 45-50 minute drive which I enjoyed. But, I had meetings all day until 3:00 PM when I drove home. So, I didn't get to explore much which for me is the most enjoyable part of a new vehicle. Shoot I don't even allow the dealers to go over the features of a new vehicle so I can discover them my self. That's impressive! Congrats I wish my order experience was this smooth. I waited, and waited and eventually just had to go find my own. It may have been my dealer's fault, but I coaxed and coached as much as I could based on feedback here and from other dealers. Now to work on getting my deposit back.
Interestingly, I purchased a new 2003 Sonoma ZRX back in the day. Its MSRP was very close to my new Maverick (Mid $20k) with very similar physical equipment but obviously a lot less technology, So, here we are 18 years later and for the same price I purchased the XL crew cab with all the technology features. The only thing the ZRX had that the XL does not is cruise which I will add eventually. I think that is amazing and kudos go to Ford. The ZRX was my favorite truck but perhaps the Maverick will surpass it.
I'll write my review once I get outside and get to playing with it.
