While the refresh happened, production of the previous model continued for a limited time due to its popularity, and this became the Silverado 1500 LTD.

  There are numerous impressive engines available for the Chevy Silverado 1500 LTD, including V8 and diesel options. The standard engine is a 2.7L Turbo that offers 310 hp and 348 lb-ft of torque, though you can choose an available 6.2L V8 that delivers 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, and there is even a 3.0L Turbo-Diesel I-6 available. This gives you the freedom to get exactly the sort of power and performance that you want from your truck. There are numerous cab and bed configurations available too, which lets you set up the Silverado 1500 LTD exactly how you want it, plus it can handle up to 13,300 lbs of towing when properly equipped and outfitted with the available V8 engine.

  Even though the Limited is effectively the previous year of the current Silverado 1500, it still has a fantastic array of standard and available features to offer. Fortunately, the Silverado 1500 LTD has four different engines available to create plenty of options for your truck.

  The standard engine on the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTD is a 2.7L Turbo that offers 310 hp and 348 lb-ft of torque. It comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and features automatic stop/start technology to help boost fuel efficiency. You can also choose a 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine that delivers 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. This engine is also paired with an 8-speed automatic standard, but comes with a 10-speed in some configurations.

  For the greatest power possible on the Silverado 1500 LTD, there is an available 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine that delivers 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with a 10-speed automatic standard and is only available with four-wheel drive. Finally, there is also an available Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel I-6 engine that offers 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, which is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This is a great choice if you prefer a diesel engine in your truck to boost your fuel efficiency while still enjoying a lot of torque.

  With so many different engines and configurations available, the towing capacity on the Silverado 1500 LTD can vary quite a lot. For example, a model with a double cab, standard bed, two-wheel drive, and the standard 2.7L Turbo engine will have 9,200 lbs of maximum towing capacity. By comparison, a model with four-wheel drive, the available 6.2L V8 engine, and the Max Trailering Package (which includes a suspension package, revised shock tuning, and a different axle ratio) can get up to 13,300 lbs of maximum towing capacity.

  The different configurations also have a big impact on how much you can load onto your truck, since they offer different cab and bed sizes. You also get a 3.5-inch digital monochromatic Driver Information Center inside the WT, with a pair of USB ports on the front panel, single-zone manual climate control, and power windows. Moving up to the Custom trim gives you a few upgrades, like cloth seating, but if you really want to see everything this truck has to offer, then you should check out the top trim: the High Country.

  A Luxury Truck

  The High Country comes with an 8-inch infotainment display with Enhanced Voice Recognition and Navigation, along with a 7-speaker Bose premium sound system with a Richbass woofer for an incredible listening experience while you drive. You also get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, with perforated leather seating that includes 10-way power front seats that are heated and ventilated, plus carpeted floor mats. The High Country has a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel, an 8-inch configurable Driver Information Center, keyless open and start, a wireless charging pad, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

  As impressive as the standard High Country features are, you can take them even further with a number of options. There is a power sunroof available, for example, along with all-weather floor liners to help protect your interior. An available 15-inch color head-up display projects information onto your windshield so you can keep your eyes on the road, while an HD Surround Vision system gives you a virtual look at the area around your vehicle to make maneuvering in tight spots even easier.
