April 16th, 2021 by

In Summer 2020, the Mercedes-Benz CLS saw an extensive upgrade in its technology; now, the CLS is taking on the roads in early 2022 with a modernized and sporiter redesign, inside and out. Get ready for the Mercedes-Benz CLS by catching all the details below!

A Quick Overview

  • Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX)

  • Standard-equipped with AMG® Line

  • New radiator grille with the Mercedes-Benz pattern

  • Redesigned multifunction steering wheel in Nappa leather

  • New exterior & interior color options

Sportier Design

With the AMG® Line standard, the new radiator grille with the Mercedes-Benz pattern (a three-dimensional star pattern with chrome-gloss surfaces) and more, the redesign of the Mercedes-Benz CLS presents an even sportier design on the roads of Oak Park. Check out the design here!

Technology

As a driver or passenger of the Mercedes-Benz CLS, you’ll enjoy a combination of standard and optional technology. The Active Brake Assist and the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) with two large 12.3-inch screens positioned side by side for a widescreen appearance is standard; well, the Driver Assistance Package Plus with Active Stop-and-Go Assist, Active Speed Limit Assist, and more is optional. Individualization

The newly redesigned CLS unlocks the door to even more personalization options, like special lacquers Jupiter Red, Cashmere White Magno, and Emerald Green. Plus, the two-tone interior with exclusive Nappa leather is now available in five new combinations: Classic Red/Black, Saddle Brown/Black, Tartufo Brown/Black, Deep White/Black and Yacht Blue/Black. Mild Hybrid Powertrain

The design is powerful, the powertrain is powerful. The Mercedes-Benz CLS 450 4MATIC® houses a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder gasoline engine, paired with an integrated second-generation starter-generator and 48-volt electrical system. This results in a delivery of up to 21 horsepower and up to 184 lb-ft electric boost. Between the energy recovery and the ability to “glide” when the engine is off, this powertrain is one of efficiency for days out in Cicero.
