By default, logging into a Windows 10 computer doesn’t require a Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the login screen. But if you are one of those people who really love the way Windows used to require the 3-finger salute (Ctrl-Alt-Del) to log in, here is how you can re-enable it.
Press Win+R to bring up the Run dialog box, type netplwiz and hit Enter.
The User Accounts dialog window pops up, go to Advanced tab and check the option “Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete” at the bottom of the window.
Click OK and it’s done. The Ctrl+Alt+Delete is required to log in from this point on.
You can also do so through Group Policy, which is a much-preferred way in a domain environment.
Open Group Policy Edit, navigate to the following location,
Computer Configuration → Windows Settings → Security Settings → Local Policies → Security Options
And double click the setting “Interactive logon: Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL“, select Disable, then OK to save the settings. Change takes effect right away.
