This 1959 Standard Microbus is a truly spectacular car with a fantastic history.
There are only 24,000 original miles on this Bus since new!
The history of the Bus is known fully and it was featured in one of the VW magazines back in the 1980's
It has won countless awards.
At the time of the VW Trends article, the Bus had just 18,000 miles on it!
The awards have been consistant...it always draws a crowd.

The Bus had a very colorful side trip several years ago when the Bus was put up for sale and was purchased by
the Discover card company for use as a promotional vehicle. It was covered with psychedelic graphics, used in advertisements
and was eventually given away to a lucky contest winner. When the prize details were announced to the winner, they had second thoughts
due to the tax implications, and eventually received a cash prize rather than the Bus.
It was then donated to a charity , who returned it to original condition and then sold it to the current owner.
Fortunately it's time as a "hippie bus" was short lived and its effect on the Bus was minimal.
The current owner has spent countless hours detailing and dialing it in to make it the best that it can be.
This interior is all original!
Totally mind blowing condition!!
Panels, headliner...all of it is original.
The exterior of the Bus has been resprayed in the original Mango color
but the inside is untouched and all as it was when it left the factory.
Dash is all original paint and is fantastic.
Front seat, seat belts, everything is totally factory
Chrome is excellent
Bumpers also were resprayed and look fantastic

Perfection under here, factory undercoating in place and no signs of any rust or repairs.
All stock and all correct....a bit of road grime but that is about it.
Dreamy under here in my book...I cant think of the last time I saw one of these so solid and untouched!
Body and paint is excllent, great shut lines to all the doors, everything fits and functions as it should.
Very slick folding steps on the bumper are something I have never seen before.
So nice!
Really tidy everywhere you look.
Dash and steering wheel wear are consistant with the low original mileage
