1957  VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

This gorgeous Oregon based 1957 Oval Beetle in Agave Green is quite the lovely machine.

Built on March 28th 1957 at the VW factory in Wolfsburg, it left on its voyage to the US
on April 5th 1957.  It was originally delivered in L240 Agave green, the same color it is painted today.

This was a full restoration to original specs with a very nice attention to detail and authenticity.

Being the model 113 De Luxe Sedan it came with all the trimmings.

The interior is beautifully done, with nice tight seats in the proper stitch patterns
and top level materials throughout.

Restoration was completed in 2018 and its been driven about 2500 miles since.
Always garaged and well cared for .

There have been very few changes from stock with the car and those details do not detract from the
overall vision. The modern audio system with vintage style knobs and face plate blends in beautifully

The speaker grille mounted clock is a nice addition and the carpets and mats are all the correct and top quality goods.

Original VW logo spare tire Hazet tool box is a rare and desirable addition.

Super cool

The trunk is well trimmed and the original jack and tool roll are there as well

Out back the engine is a larger displacement than the original 36hp unit
and the electrics have been changed to 12 volts. This is a 1961 case 40hp engine.
Very clean and well detailed and it runs and drives superb.

The restoration was a top to bottom job and the suspension, fender wells and whole underside were
restored and attended to. It is rock solid and impressively clean underneath...as well as on top.

The engine room fits the look of the car , all clean and simple with no modern flash or bling.

The benefits of the larger engine are many. Not only will it keep up well in traffic
it also has an electric choke and greatly improved heating design.

Here are some very nice interior detail shots.

Super clean and showroom fresh in appearance.

Excellent details wherever you look.

Fantastic photography!

Top quality bumpers and chrome, excellent fit and finish to the fenders and all the trim.
Factory bullet front signals were a US spec attribute for the Oval era from 1956-57.

All fresh window rubbers and body seals, trim, wipers, everywhere you look it is super clean and well kept.

Sits so perfect with its nose just slightly up like a faithful dog awaiting its owner.

The Oval rear window and rear lid design is such a beautiful thing to stare at.

Wow...I love this one!

Big props to Paul Newman for the photos...nice work!

We have a nice set of restoration images that we can forward interested parties.
The car started out as a decent stock car that had been repainted at some point
and after the restoration was completed, the current owner brought it back to the original
owner for a homecoming and a chance to sit behind the wheel again.

Great car indeed!
