1959 Volkswagen Beetle Sedan For Sale.

Here's a really fine looking 1959 Volkswagen Beetle in L343 kalahari beige, an uncommon color.

It's a very nice early square window Beetle in totally stock and proper condition.

The car has it's original snowflake taillights and all the other correct details for the year.

The paint looks really nice, it shows off well.

Original VW hubcaps and body trim all around the car is in great condition.
Humble, simple and clean, just they way they are supposed to be.

Windshield chrome trim is missing. but this is just a cosmetic issue and can be easily corrected.
The owner has the parts ready to install

Floor pan is looking very solid.

Looking very good underneath, well preserved and surprisingly solid for an east coast example.

Nice!

Looks very straight and solid in the fender wells.
Painted during the restoration I assume.

Really solid car in the deep corners

Mostly all original under trunk lid,  only the wire cover is missing and gas tank has been repainted.
Nice to see the original glove box intact and in such nice shape...wiring looks great.

Very clean inside as well, door jams look solid and sound.

There is some discussion about the originality of the interior.
The owner believes the seats and panels are original but I seem to think they have been replaced at some point.
There were a lot of changes during the late 50's and early 60's.
Cloth interior is not something seen often in a US spec car.
The carpet appears to be original, the headliner was replaced at some point.
The door panels with the ribbed vinyl were introduced for the 1960 model year...this is earlier than that.

38,871 is the current mileage, original or turned over once is not documented.

There's very clean original paint on the dashboard and steering wheel.

The car features an original Volkswagen Sapphire I radio.

Original steering wheel shows some light patina, great shape.

Original gear shift, heater knob, tunnel and floor mats.

One of the seats has some wear on the lower corner

Seat fabric is a fine grey striped material.

Headliner is a replacement as well in the original factory style "mouse fur" fabric.

There's original carpet in the rear suitcase well.

Headliner is in very good condition.

No rips or tears, the headliner presents itself well........

Original carpet......

And rubber floor mats.
Minimal foot wear ...mileage could be possible.

Sill carpet has normal wear, but it's original.

Seat frame paint is also in very good condition.

Door panels are very clean

Rear seat fabric is in fine condition.

Car is located in Pennsylvania.

It has a locking deck lid handle.

Motor serial # is from circa May 1959.

May 1959 motor seems to have all it's correct original components.
Excellent correct rear apron
Firewall material looks to be the original...very nice all stock car here.

These are correct era Hella sealed beam headlight units, right....

.........and left, both in very good condition.

Beautiful original enameled "Wolfsburg" castle crest.

And now let's take a look up front..........

..........there we find the spare tire well is in good condition.
No rust or hard damage. Perhaps a little wrinkle from a curbstone on the bottom
but nothing structural. There has been some repainting in here as the body tag has been painted over.

Look at that smile!

The car still has it's original bumpers with very nice chrome.

A pretty little car, L343 kalahari beige paint suits this vintage Beetle well.

Here we have a nicely presented 1959 Beetle in a very unique color, ready to drive and enjoy as is.
