Available for auction is this 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 finished in Millennium Yellow over a Black leather interior. The C5 Z06 uses a tuned version of the standard LS1 engine known as the LS6 along with upgraded suspension, larger wheels and tires, revised gearing ratios, and functional brake cooling ducts. Marking the 50th anniversary of Corvette production, this 2003 example was delivered new by Penske Chevrolet and remained under the care of its original owner for the next 14 years. It was sold to a friend of the original owner in 2017 and was eventually purchased by the selling dealer in 2022. This Z06 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Indiana while showing just under 35k miles on the odometer.

This Z06 comes finished in Millennium Yellow and features pop-up headlights, Z06 and 50th Anniversary badges, quad exhaust outlets, a Z06 accessory plate between the exhausts, and optional body side moldings. The finish was recently treated with a ceramic coating and is described to be nicely preserved with only a few minor paint chips; detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. It rides on a set of factory 17″/18″ GM Speedline Z06 wheels dressed in Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.

The cabin is trimmed in black leather with red Z06 embroideries in the headrests. Amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat with position memory, automatic climate control, a head-up display, power windows, electrochromic power heated mirrors, and a tilting leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Power comes from a 5.7-liter LS6 V8 engine that drives the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. In 2002, the LS6 engine received a larger air intake, stiffer valve springs, lighter sodium-filled valves, and more aggressive timing for an increased output of 405 HP. Compared with a standard C5 Corvette, the Z06 features uprated FE4 suspension, revised gearing ratios, functional brake cooling ducts, and is 128 lbs. lighter with weight-saving measures including thinner glass, reduced soundproofing, and a lighter battery. The CARFAX report includes three maintenance history records and the seller notes that routine oil and filter services were carried out under previous ownership.

This sale will include a clean title.

@WReiter I always drive the cars we buy for a day or two to find any problems so we can fix them. I am happy to say that with this car there were no problems. Everything works like it should and the Z06 ran and drove great. The only thing I know is wrong is a very small chip on the hood, the other one is so small it almost doesn’t need a mention, but I try to let everyone know what I see as a car collector. Please bid in confidence, you won’t be disappointed. I have owned a car restoration shop for 40 years and thought about fixing the chips, but wanted people to know the care that the previous owners took of this car after driving it 34000 miles.

@dfish66 @dfish66, thanks for understanding and beautiful car! I always found something alluring with a yellow Z06.

@Just_a_guy Sorry for the slow response, I was traveling to my farm in Ohio. You are correct, I meant to say 50th Anniversary, which every Corvette including the Z06 was in 2003. I should have left out the word edition, I am a mid year guy and never knew a special edition existed, thanks for the new found knowledge. You know what they say you never stop learning, Even at 64. Thanks for clearing that up.

@dfish66 things to note, there was never a z06 50th Anniversary edition. Only convertible and coupes and each is red with shale color interior.

Hello everyone, Thank you for looking and bidding on our 2003 Corvette Z06 50th Anniversary. The Car has been adult owned and driven since new and babied all along the way. It was purchased new in Indianapolis and went home to Elettsville Indiana a suburb of Bloomington. We purchased the car from the second owner who lives across the street from our lot and is friends with the first owners. The Corvette has always been stored in winters and not driven on rainy days. There is two very small paint chips on the hood, too small to see in pictures and video. The Z06 has never been painted or had any power adders added to it, and retains it's stock interior, that is in excellent condition. I don't know of any other issues with the car, everything works and no check engine lights are on. Bid in confidence, we welcome any and all questions and will make ourselves available for any inspections you would like to have done. We are a classic car dealership and hand pick all of our cars like we were buying them for ourselves. Thank you Dan and Dave
