Truck hits school bus on U.S. 98 West

A Pensacola Christian Academy bus traveling west on Hwy 98 near the Pensacola Naval Hospital was rear-ended by a Ford pickup Wednesday morning. A third vehicle involved in the accident slammed into the pickup.

There were no reported injuries among students when a Pensacola Christian Academy school bus was rear-ended Wednesday morning, according to school officials.

The crash occurred about 7:30 a.m. near the Navy Hospital on U.S. 98. According to academy officials, the Ford pickup behind the bus was rear-ended by a third motorist, forcing it into the back of the school bus.

The children on the bus were screened on site by medical personnel, but none required hospital treatment. Parents were notified of the crash and given the option to pick up their children or have them placed on another bus to continue to school.
