Google Easter Egg lets you play retro arcade game Breakout in a browser

Google's search engine features an Easter Egg that lets users play Atari's 1976 arcade game Breakout in a browser.

Using the engine to image search for "Atari Breakout" will cause the image search results to appear as colorful 2D blocks. Players can then obliterate the blocks by bounding a ball around with a paddle restricted to horizontal movement.

The original Breakout was conceptualized by Steve Bristow and Atari founder Nolan Bushnell, and Apple co-founder Steve "Woz" Wozniak developed the prototype.

A past game-themed Google Easter Egg includes typing "zerg rush" into the search bar, causing a swarm of "O" characters to decimate the search results.
