1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 MK III Lot #101 (Sale Order 1 of 244) The Austin-Healey 3000 was manufactured built from 1959 to 1967, known as the “......big Healey”....... The car's bodywork was made by Jensen motors and vehicles were assembled at BMC’......s MG works in Abingdon with the corporation's MG models. Initially a 2 seat sports car they eventually progressed to include 2+2 style jump seats in the rear.
The 3-litre 6-cylinder 3000 was a highly successful competition car, winning its classes in many rallye and racing events. These cars are still raced in vintage racing events today.
The 3000 sports convertible Mark III was announced in February 1964 with its power increased from 136 bhp to 150 bhp by a new higher lift camshaft, SU HD8 carburetors replaced HS6 units increasing the choke size from 1.75 to 2 inches. Power-assisted braking became standard instead of optional. The new car's fascia displayed its speedometer and tachometer directly in front of the driver.
The Mark III BJ8 remained in production until the end of 1967 when manufacture of Austin-Healeys ceased. Only one further car was built in March 1968. BMC thought the car’......s place would be filled by the 6-cylinder MGC. Many consider the 1967 3000 Mk III the high water mark of all Healeys.
Presented here is a nice example of a 1967 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III BJ8, vin. #:HBJ8L36369, and is offered in correct, British Racing Green over Black with white piping interior. It features a fairly extensive body-on restoration done to a nice standard with a total respray, new chrome, new chrome wire wheels, new radial tires, stainless steel exhaust, beautifully restored engine bay, carpet and new top. This car was in a private Southern Ohio collection many years before entering the current collection and then restored. The very solid body did not show signs if internal rust prior to respray. This is a British Heritage Certified car and carries the appropriate certificate, authenticating the car has the correct engine and body numbers and is numbers matching.
Just in time for Fall foliage touring in the Adirondacks, this Healey 3000 will bring many years of touring pleasure and prove to be a wise investment at the same time.

1933 Ford Deluxe Model 40 Cabriolet Lot #102 (Sale Order 2 of 244) Ford introduced the famed flathead V8 engine with the 1932 Model Year, as the Model 18. While becoming an instant success and eventually hot rodding icon the model 18 was built that first year only. Ford chose to go with a completely new body for 1933, the model 40. While retaining the 221 cu in Flathead V8 and Three Speed Manual transmission, horsepower grew to 75 in 1933.
The new Ford was decidedly more streamlined and modern. The wheelbase of the new heavier duty frame became 106 inches. The Cabriolet offered the comfort of roll up windows and luxury of a closed car in an open air convertible. The model 40 was continued into the 1934 model year with minimal changes.
The 1933 Ford Deluxe model 40 V8 Cabriolet, being offered enjoyed a full frame up restoration in the Noel Biery Ford Collection, of Beecher, Illinois. The Biery collection was well known for top quality 1932-34 Fords. The car most recently resides in the Gary N. Brown Collection of upstate New York. Finished in a Deep Coach Maroon with Vermillion pin striping and wheels accented by authentic wide white wall tires. The interior is tan with deluxe wood grain, tan Haartz top, chrome top bows as well as an inviting rumble seat. 1947 MG TC Lot #106 (Sale Order 6 of 244) 11947 MG TC #106
Despite a body style dating back to before WWII and an engine that only produced 54 h.p., the MG TC had a profound effect on the American automotive scene and launched the sports car movement of the late 40s. Compared to the large, softly sprung, and underpowered American cars of the period, the MG TC offered spritely handling and performance.
This is a handsomely restored and AACA award winning example of the famous MG TC. The inline 4 cylinders XPAG engine is 1250cc mated to a 4-speed floor mounted gearbox. Top speed was some 75 mph, which was fine given the chassis and the drum brakes of the era. All TCs produced were right hand drive. This car has an extra set of special 19-inch wire wheels as used at Sebring. It also features rare front and rear bumpers, most TCs were delivered with no protection front or rear. Further enhancing this TC are the Brooklands windscreens for use when the windshield is folded down
The flowing fender lines, fold down windshield and slab gas tank with rear mounted spare combined with the tall wire wheels were in striking contrast to U.S. automotive styling of the period.
Notably, this special TC comes complete with owners’...... manual and original tool kit as well as a wooden dipstick for use as your fuel gage.

Alfa’......s spider had one of the longest and most successful runs in history. From 1966 to 1993 the Spider had many upgrades and adaptations but at its heart it always was a small 2 seat convertible with sexy Italian lines and a DOHC 4 that reved forever making sweet music.
For auction we have a 1989 Series 3 “......Aerodinamica”...... for sale. She has a 2 liter DHOC 4 cylinder with Bosch fuel injection. She breathes through a cold air intake with an ANSA exhaust. She is white with a tan vinyl interior. A wooden steering wheel and shifter have been added. She rides on Koni shocks. The calipers have been painted and the tires are on Panasport wheels.

1966 Mercedes-Benz 230SL Lot #115 (Sale Order 15 of 244) The “......Pagoda”...... SL models are some of the finest cars to come from Mercedes with timeless and graceful styling, spirited handling and performance and superb build quality. The 230SL departed from Mercedes old styling and launched a series of cars with a clean and elegant lines and the tall removable hardtop nicknamed a “......pagoda.”......
Power comes from a peppy 2.3 liter overhead cam, inline 6 with Bosch fuel injection. Horsepower was rated at 170hp. This car has the desirable floor mounted 4 speed manual transmission. Girling disc brakes in the front and power assisted drums in the rear stop the 230SL just fine.

It is rare that one has the opportunity to own not only an extraordinary Hot Rod but a cultural icon. Called The Lunch Special because in 1960 East coast Hot Rod builder legends Fred Steel and Don Spinney wanted to prove you could build a Hot Rod for less than $1,000. Inspired by Norm Grabowski’......s Kookie T-Bucket built for the popular “......hip”...... character on TV’......s 77 Sunset Strip, Steel and Spinney went to work keeping things simple. Chrome was used only as accents; white and maroon paint and a 265 cid Chevy V-8 instead of a more expensive 283 or 327 Chevies.
The Lunchbox Special becomes an icon for its place on the cover of the Ventures in Space album in which West coast meets East coast.

Solid and unrestored, this MG TC is a good example of the car that started America’......s love affair with sports cars. It has been carefully maintained as part of an outstanding collection of MGs and features several important upgrades.
The engine is a factory replacement of the 1250 cc XPAG 4 cylinder engine with SU carbs. The oil pressure is a solid 60 psi. The steering box has been improved with a “......Tompkins type”...... kit that makes this car a pleasure to drive. Of course all TCs are right hand drive.
The tires and wheels are only five years old and have seen little wear since new. There is also a rear mounted spare with cover.
For driving comfort it also features new Moss StayFast beige top and side curtains. The interior is in a properly maintained vinyl. Aftermarket accessories include a dash grab handle, wind wings and a Moto Meter radiator temperature gage. The steering wheel is a classic style Moto Lita. The original jack and starting crank are also included.

1959 MG MGA Twin Cam Lot #119 (Sale Order 18 of 244) 1959 MG A Twin Cam
•...... Rare example of the limited production MG A Twin Cam
•...... California car with no rust, never wrecked, all original sheet metal
•...... Less than 35,000 miles on the odometer.
The MG A Twin Cam was an exciting attempt by MG in 1958 to create a more contemporary and competitive version of the classic MG A. Not only was a new, more powerful engine with twin overhead camshafts installed, the A received four wheel disc brakes and Dunlop center lock disc wheels. Twin Cams scored a number of victories for MG at events like LeMans and Sebring. Production lasted only until 1960 with just over 2,100 cars built. This is #1721.
On an engine dyno the engine puts out 120+ hp significantly better than the original 108 hp. The 4-cylinder engine features a mild race cam, Carrillo rods, slightly oversized valves and cylinders over bored .060 due to Carrillo rod design. The compression ratio is 9.9 to 1. The crankshaft was balanced during the last rebuild. The carbs are SU HD8s on a factory manifold. The water pump was rebuilt and a high torque starter added during this rebuild. Another racing feature is a factory tube type header with stainless steel exhaust. The racing distributor is from Aldon
The gearbox is stock but with close ratio gears and the MG B competition clutch mates to an aluminum flywheel. In the rear there is a limited slip differential.
For better handling the chassis has been lowered one inch with a Panhard bar in the rear and in front, a 7/8”...... sway bar.
For safety there is a removable roll bar that fits under the top and factory competition seats. There is also a fire suppression system. This car does not have a fuel cell, which most clubs now require.
When it comes to appearance this car is in beautiful condition. As a California car it has no rust and has never been wrecked. The paint is Porsche Indian Red.

1961 MG MGA Lot #120 (Sale Order 19 of 244) This is your chance to go racing with a fully developed and sorted race car eligible for SCCA and some vintage racing clubs such as HRG. It was maintained and raced by a noted MG collector. It comes with an SCCA log book.
Engine built by Peter Marcovicci Engineering. It delivers 172 hp at 7500 rpm. It has all the racing internals one would want for a competitive racer. All the receipts and dyno results are available. Only 3 races since engine built.
The transmission is a five speed with special gearing from HyGear.
It features MG B disc brakes on the front and Wilwood discs at the rear. Comes with new tires plus a spare set of wheels and tires.
This is a right hand drive car, an advantage on road racing circuits. Of course, the chassis if fully sorted and set up. It has raced at most of the major tracks in the Northeast including Lime Rock Park, Watkins Glen and Thompson.
The body is in very good shape as can be seen from the photographs. It is painted in British racing green with silver trim. The car was restored and converted to racing some 25 years ago.

1962 MG MGA MK II Deluxe Lot #121 (Sale Order 20 of 244) 1962 MG A Deluxe
The MG A Deluxe is the rarest of MGs with limited production and never marketed as a separate model. The Deluxe is actually a version of the famous MG A Twin Cam but without the twin cam engine. These cars use the Twin Cam suspension, steering layout, four wheel Dunlop disc brakes and the Dunlop center-lock pressed steel wheels as found on the Twin Cam.
It is known that only 313 1600 MK IIs using the 1622cc four cylinder pushrod engine were produced by the time the MG A was discontinued in 1962.
Restored to a high standard this car is red with beige leather interior and a new, beige Stayfast top. It features a louvered hood.
This is a unique opportunity to own the rarest of MG A models.

1976 MG MGB Lot #122 (Sale Order 21 of 244) A great opportunity to own a low mileage MG B for fun drives with the top down.
With only 60,875 miles indicated on the odometer this car should provide long years of service.
All systems are said to be in good running order with Stayfast top and very clean interior. Orange paint and chrome are in fine shape with no dents, no rust and no bumps. The original Stromberg carburetor has been replaced with twin SUs and a modern header fitted, all to improve performance. Plus it comes with a new battery.

1978 MG MGB Lot #123 (Sale Order 22 of 244) You know this car is exceptional because it was maintained as part of an outstanding collection of MGs owned by a mechanical engineer.
The body is in very good condition although the car is unrestored. You won’......t see this beautiful a paint job on any other MG B. The subtle metallic gold color was special order when the car was built and is in good condition. The seats are new and in perfect condition. The car also comes with a brand new Stayfast top.
Twin SU carburetors are fitted in place of the original Stromberg along with a new header. The engine has been rebuilt including an aluminum flywheel. The five-speed transmission is all synchromesh with overdrive.

1936 Ford Phaeton Deluxe Lot #125 (Sale Order 24 of 244) The styling on the Ford Phaeton Deluxe is widely admired as one of the sleekest shapes from a company not previously noted for great design. Ford introduced the open air/convertible Phaeton design in 1928 as something a little more sporting than the old touring models of the 20s.
Power comes from the 221 cid flathead that produces 85 hp and sprightly performance. The 3 speed manual transmission is described as smooth and modern in its action.
The exterior is black with a tan, cloth soft top and inside it features saddle colored leatherette bench seats.
This car has just been serviced. It is described as running great and “......ready to enjoy.”......

1965 Sunbeam Tiger Lot #126 (Sale Order 25 of 244) 1965 SUNBEAM TIGER CUSTOM
After World War 2, British car makers Allard, Nash-Healy, Bristol and Jensen all used American running gear. Why? Because American motors were plentiful and powerful. Buying motors was a lot cheaper than building your own. This especially true if you’......re building less than 100 cars. The pinnacle of this thinking is when Carroll Shelby put V-8’......s in an AC Ace and the Cobra legend was born.
British car maker Sunbeam in the early ‘......60’......s built the Alpine. It was a very fine 2 seater with a 1700 cc 4 built to compete with MG and Triumph. Sunbeam wanted to make the Alpine more potent and found that a 260 ci Ford V-8, using a “......shoe horn”......, would fit in. The Alpine truly became a Tiger. All was fine until Sunbeam’......s parent company was bought by Chrysler. The use of a Ford engine became impossible.
For auction we have a custom version of a Tiger. The original 260 ci Ford V-8 has been replace with a 289. A 5 speed replaces the 4 speed. The red leather interior helps high light the black/white interior.

During development it was referred to as the Bentley Mark VII; the chassis cards for these cars describe them as Bentley 7. The R Type name which is now usually applied stems from chassis series RT. The front of the saloon model was identical to the Mark VI, but the boot (trunk) was almost doubled in capacity.[citation needed] The engine displacement was approximately 4½... litres, as fitted to later versions of the Mark VI. An automatic choke was fitted to the R-type's carburettor. The attachment of the rear springs to the chassis was altered in detail between the Mark VI and the R Type.
For buyers looking for a more distinctive car, a decreasing number had custom coachwork available from the dwindling number of UK coachbuilders. These ranged from the grand flowing lines of Freestone and Webb's conservative, almost prewar shapes, to the practical conversions of Harold Radford which including a clamshell style tailgate and folding rear seats.
All R Type models use an iron-block/aluminium-head straight-six engine fed by twin SU Type H6 carburettors.[citation needed] The basic engine displaced 4,566 cc (278.6 cu in) with a 92 mm (3.62 in) bore and 114.3 mm (4.50 in) stroke. A four-speed manual transmission was standard with a four-speed automatic option becoming standard on later cars.

2008 Ford Ravenhawk Roadster Lot #133 (Sale Order 32 of 244) A “......Ravenhawk”...... was built by a company called Contemporary Classics, a company started by a retired Boeing engineer back in the early 2000’......s. The car was built in 2008 and I have had it registered and on the road up here in NY. The idea here was to make a car that looked like a 1933 Ford roadster but drove like something sold today. The base car is actually a C5 Corvette with all the drive train and chassis pretty much in place. It is meant to be reliable and be fixed at a Chevy dealer. The LS2 engine has 405 HP and it has a 6 speed manual transmission. It has power steering, power brakes, a/c, power top and great stereo as well as a backup camera, proximity warning and remote alarm and locks. Every works. It is comfortable and weather tight with the top up. A well engineered hot rod. I believe that there where a couple of dozen made and sold and the original sticker was north of 100K.
A modern reliable Hot Rod that handles like a sports car with all the driving conveniences.

This MG represents the total transformation of a fun but underpowered English roadster into a world class sports car with incredible performance combined with a first rate restoration inside and out.
In place of the MG BMC 4-cylinder engine this B boasts a GM 3.4 liter V6 with a Holly 4-barrel mated to a rebuilt T5 5-speed manual transmission. The owner says this car has undergone a ground up restoration using all factory parts. This is a better than new example of a popular British sports car.
The A-H Sprite MK II replaced the famed “......bug eye”...... Sprite with a bigger motor, new styling but the same great handling. Really popular, these cars saw lots of active use and abuse so a superb example like this car showing 70,400 miles is rare indeed.
The body was stripped down to bare metal and professionally repainted in a striking pink color that will certainly get this car noticed.
Under the hood everything is either new or rebuilt. Internally the 1275 cc engine was also professionally rebuilt with all new internals including balanced and lightened pistons and crank. The SU H52 carburetors are new as is a stainless steel exhaust system. Many parts under the hood are powder coated.
In front are new Lucas headlamps. According to the owner the wiring harness is also new. The suspension has been rebuilt with new elliptical springs and shocks. The wire wheels are also new.
Also new in the interior are the top, tonneau cover (both Robbins Everflex), side curtains, wood carpet and leather seats as well as a Les Leston steering wheel. It even comes with a reproduction Donald Healey Motor Co. baby seat.

1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Lot #140 (Sale Order 39 of 244) 1969 Corvette Stingray
With only 2,200 miles on the odometer since restoration, this Stingray features a matching numbers 427 V8 that delivers 390 h.p. The owner says the engine has recorded only 1,200 miles since a rebuild and has all the receipts. Power is delivered through a four speed manual transmission. On top of the rebuilt engine is a Rochester 4-barrel carburetor.
In a metallic green, this car has a T-top and includes new T-top panels. The interior is in a saddle color with bucket seats.
With the rebuild, this Corvette received a new wiring harness, distributor and clutch. It also has new brake calipers, a new power brake booster and master cylinder.

1958 Chevrolet Impala Lot #141 (Sale Order 40 of 244) 1958 CHEVY IMPALA
1958 marked the 50th anniversary of General Motors. To celebrate, all the divisions of GM were tasked to create a special model. Chevrolet introduces the Impala to replacing the Bel-Air as the top of the line. The new Chevy was lower, longer, and wider than its predecessors. The old perimeter-type of frame was replaced by an elongated “......X”...... that improved torsion rigidity and allowed for lower placement of the passenger compartment. With a more rigid body, lower center of gravity and using coil instead of leaf spring in the rear, this was the best handling Chevy up to then.
We are offering a fine example of a 1st generation Impala for auction. This 100% rotisserie restored hard top has only been driven a few miles since restoration. This handsome coral colored Impala has a fine coral/black interior that still has the original AM radio and clock. The exterior is set off with California bumpers both front and rear. All the chrome has been done in triple plate show chrome. It has power steering and brakes.
Under the hood, brand new for 1958, is a Type W Turbo-Thrust 348 ci V-8. The V-8 has a tri-power set up that puts out 280 hp. It is connected to, a correct, Turbo glide transmission. All the hot gases go through dual aluminized tailpipes and muffler.
Too long late 1950’......s and early 1960’......s Chevys have lived in the shadow of the “......Tri-Five”....... The time has come for these cars to shine on their own in terms collectability and value. This 1958 Impala will be a great car and investment.

1929 Packard 640 Custom Eight
Like many other American luxury car manufacturers, the stock market crash of 1929 did not immediately affect Packard and they continued to employ over 7,000 workers. During the 1928 model year, Packard production totaled an all-time record of 49,698 cars with the vast majority (over 41,000 cars) were the less expensive six-cylinder cars. The more affordable Packard was more accessible to an increasingly affluent marketplace that was enjoying an unprecedented boom.
A new Standard Eight line was introduced in 1929 which replaced the earlier Twin Six models. These sixth-series Packard's had long hoods, large oval-backed headlights (a one-year-only feature), and sweeping fenders. Five basic models were offered and given an automatic cylinder oiler (helped to prevent unnecessary wear caused by dry startups), parabolic headlamps and chromed bright work, and a shock absorbing loose trunion suspension with new Houdaille shocks. Other mechanical improvements included the relocation of the coolant temperature gauge from the radiator filler cap (Moto-Meter) to an easy-to-read gauge on the dashboard. The driver and passenger received more interior room when the shift lever was moved from the top of the transmission casing to the bell housing.
The Sixth Series 640 Custom Eight rested on a 140.5-inch wheelbase platform and was offered in nine different body styles. The Model 640 and 645 'Deluxe Eight' had a chassis specifically designed for the elegant custom and semi-custom bodies of the time. Total production of the 640 Custom 8 reached 4,853 examples for the 1929 model year.
The 384 cubic-inch L-head inline eight-cylinder engine had seven main bearings and a rigid one-piece cylinder block casting. It was given a single carburetor which helped produced 105 horsepower. They had a three-speed manual transmission and four-wheel drum brakes.

1966 Chevrolet Corvair Yenko Stinger Lot #144 (Sale Order 43 of 244) 1966 Chevy Yenko Stinger
Don Yenko was famous for building big block COPO Chevrolets during the height of the muscle car era. However, Don was also an accomplished SCCA road racer. It was years before he became famous building the SC 427 Camaro's that he modified that the first Yenko Stingers were produced. Yenko built a road racing sports car to complete against the likes of the Shelby Mustangs and 911 Porsche's.
Operating from his small Canonsburg, Pennsylvania Chevy dealership, Yenko would build the required 100 Stingers to compete in SCCA racing events. When completed, each Stinger would be issued its own serial number plate.
Yenko upgraded the suspension with stiffer springs, Monroe double action shocks and Cadillac brakes. All Stingers were available in IV Stage models. The Stage IV being the most powerful of all models producing over 240 hp. Fiberglass panels were also utilized to lighten the Corvair based cars.
Approximately 115 Stingers were built between 1966-1969. In 1967 Jerry Thompson won the SCCA D production title in a Yenko Stinger.
Offered is probably the rarest of Stingers produced by Don Yenko. This original 1 owner Stinger has been lovingly cared for since the day the consignor picked up the car in Canonsburg, PA. Raced throughout the 60’......s-90’......s, the Stinger has recently completed a full cosmetic and mechanical restoration to its original glory. The original Pennsylvania title as well as all delivery documents come with the car. All original warranty books factory information also are included.

1941 Pontiac Woodie Wagon Lot #PS144 (Sale Order 44 of 244) 1941 Pontiac Woodie Stations Wagons are coveted by lovers of this unique style of station wagon and they are uncommon indeed. This example of a rare pre-war woodie comes from the collection of a noted expert on these special vehicles.
Originally woodies were built for use by hotels to pickup guests arriving by train so many were built on truck chassis. While at first practical utility vehicles their unique styling caught the eye of the wealthy for use on their estates and Adirondack camps. They wanted some of the ride comfort of regular cars and companies like GM jumped into the market during the 1930s.
What makes these cars so special is, of course, their handmade wooden bodies built by an outside contractor, the Hercules Company of Evansville, Indiana. Hercules made the bodies for these station wagons of ash-framed mahogany. This makes the Hercules woodies more desirable because the two other firms building woodie bodies for GM used plainer birch panels.
The roof is topped with an Everflex-covered padding. The wooden tailgate is horizontally split with a single window on the top and a built-in folding tray on the bottom. Production of these cars was limited partly because they were time consuming to build by hand and they weren’......t that profitable. They were often the most expensive car in the Pontiac lineup for their time. In 1942, production ceased altogether because of the war.
This particular woodie is a four door Custom Torpedo Station Wagon. It is believed to be a 10 year old restoration from Florida. The tan paint job is a custom color and the mahogany wood body is beautifully varnished reminding one of the wooden hulled powerboats from the same era.
An L-head 6 cylinder engine develops about 90 horsepower from 234 cubic inches. The transmission is a three-speed manual column mounted shift. The car was built on the standard GM 122 inch chassis of the period.
There are two bench seats covered in Naugahyde vinyl. This was the original material used in what was seen as a utility vehicle. A varnished wood panel interior is accented by a metal dash. The dash features a built-in AM radio and clock. There is also a heater unit in the vehicle.
This is an opportunity to own a rare and unique piece of automotive history.

1952 MG TD Lot #145 (Sale Order 45 of 244) Extremely original left hand drive TD which appears and drives as it left the factory. The current and 4th owner reports that it probably had a bare body quality respray at some point in its life. Everything on the vehicle operates including the heater with the exception of the clock. The top and side curtains are in very good condition. It still retains the original hand crank and owner's manual but the tool kit is not complete. The current owner commissioned a $9,000 complete engine overhaul to TF specifications less than 1,000 miles ago. Overhaul included a spin on filter and adjustable oil pressure. The British motor restoration specialist and noted MG racer commented on the condition of the car and scored the car 88 out of 100 points with an estimated value at the time of $28,800. Of particular note is the scored condition of all structural components including the ash in the frame, all scoring 5 out of 5. During its life the car has seen service to its owners in New York City, Pound Ridge, NY, Niskayuna, NY and Burnt Hills, NY. Probably one of the best MGTD's you will ever find and ready for many, many enjoyable British motoring miles. The current owner has the original banjo style steering wheel but the outer rim is in poor but restorable condition and some spare parts including but not limited to fuel pump, wiper motor, valve cover gaskets, an complete emergency travel spare parts kit and two car covers that the new owner is welcome to have and the history file as he has it and complete during his ownership.

Because the Torino was Ford’......s weapon of choice for NASCAR, the Cobra Jet was loaded with high performance good stuff. Our numbers matching Cobra Jet, featured on the cover the November 16, 2016 issue of OLD CARS: WEEKLY NEW & MARKET PLACE, is equipped with a 370 hp 429-4V CJ Ram Air motor, a four speed “......top loader”...... and 3:50 rear end. Racing Suit Michael Schmacher Lot #155 (Sale Order 56 of 244) Taking place at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola on April 26th, the 1998 San Marino Grand Prix witnessed Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher finish third in qualifying behind McLaren-Mercedes drivers David Coulthard (first) and Mika Hä...kkinen (second). Ferrari had hoped to topple McLaren’......s dominance, and following suit with Tyrrell Racing, bolting fitted 'side-wings' atop the sideboards. This modification did little to dethrone McLaren though, with Coulthard winning the race, followed by Schumacher. In solid Ferrari red, A Nomex III label sits affixed to the collar, with “......OMP”...... and “......M. Schumacher”...... embroidered over the belt, with his name again added over the reverse, along with “......S. Marino 3”...... and the date of “......26/04/98”....... Sponsorship patches from Marlboro, Good Year, Asprey, TechnoGym and Shell are affixed, with Schumacher signing across the left chest, adding “......To Gino”......, with the signature somewhat lighter then when first penned. The race suit was then gifted a second time, with a second mostly worn-away signature beneath with “......Pour Guy”....... This children’......s electric car was imported into the United States
in 1962 by Luigi Chinetti Motors, the sole importer and distributor of Ferrari Automobiles for all of North America. It was displayed in Chinettis' New York City showroom and later in the Greenwich, CT showroom. In the early 1970's Luigi Chinetti gave it to his friend Gerry Martin, the Vice President and General Manager of the New York International Automobile Show. It was used by Gerry’......s 2 daughters and then Gerry lent it to his brother-in-law in Mass. In the late 1970's Gerry gave it to me. It needed a complete restoration which was done at Amerispec Corp. in Danbury, CT. It was driven by my daughter and then displayed for many years in the showroom of Amerispec. In 1980 it was shown at the Ferrari Club of America National Meet in Washington D.C. To transport it to the meet a wooden travel box was made which fit into the back of a Ford station wagon. The car is held on a wooden fabric covered platform which when removed is placed on top of the wooden box for display purposes.
In April 2000 there was a featured 5 page article in Road & Track magazine on this car. The road test was done at Ralph Lauren’......s estate in Bedford, New York.
Since 2004 the car has been displayed at the Saratoga Automobile Museum and in May of 2017 my grand daughter Shayleigh Barrett drove the car at the museum just before it was shown at the Greenwich Concours.
It is one of the most famous children’......s cars in the world!

This is the original sign which hung on the outside wall at the showroom entrance. It was painted by one of Jurist’......s many automotive artist friends based on a painting by Peter Helck of the 1906 Locomobile
#16 winner of that year’......s Vanderbuilt Cup race. This 16.23 liter monster was owned by Helck from 1941 until his death.
Dick Fritz has owned it for 28 years and for over a decade it has been hanging in the conference room of the Saratoga Automobile Museum. It is in prime condition. A piece of automotive art with a purpose and a great story.

The “......T-Type”...... was a classification Buick gave to performance versions of their models. The most famous was the GNX. While most of the Buick line in the 1980’......s at one time or another got a T-Type treatment, not all Buick's had the highly desirable turbocharger. Our ’......86 Regal does.
This charcoal with gray cloth interior Regal was 1 of 1921 T-Types made in ’......86. The stock drive train is the 3.8 liter V-6 with sequential fuel injection, electronic ignition and a turbocharger with an air to air intercooler. All this effort made 235 hp.
The brakes have been upgraded with a Wildwood 6 piston system front and rear. The owner has invested $5,000 in a custom stereo system.

1993 Jaguar XJR-S Lot #204 (Sale Order 105 of 244) 1993 was the final production year of the Jaguar XJR-S produced by Jaguar Sport, a separate company owned 50-50 by Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR). This car was presented with a distinctive body kit, special alloy wheels, suspension and handling improvements. It also features an upgraded 6.0-liter engine with a Zytek engine management system that is unique to this car and provides for stellar performance. This was different from the standard 6.0-liter engine used in the late XJS models as the 6.0-liter V-12 engine was hand-built by the TWR team and included several performance modifications pushing the horsepower to 338. TWR also built and installed custom upgrades to the driveline, suspension and brakes were engineered.
The 1993 XJR-S is a rare and collectible vehicle with a total production count of 100 units built for the US - 50 coupes and 50 convertibles. This version of the XJR-S also displayed the model-specific body kit that includes a rear spoiler, an undertray, lower side sills, a custom front end treatment, a special Autolux leather interior, and larger alloy wheels and tires.
This particular example has only 36,000 original miles and is #82 of the100 cars ever produced and only of 27 finished in triple black. It was lightly restored by Paul's Jaguar in Ft Lauderdale, a premier Jaguar restoration shop and has been in a private collection since.

1966 Ford Thunderbird Lot #206 (Sale Order 107 of 244) The fourth generation of the Ford Thunderbird is a large personal luxury car produced by Ford for the 1964 to 1966 model years. This generation of the Thunderbird was restyled in favor of a more squared-off, "formal" look. The Thunderbird's sporty image had by that time become only that: the standard 390-cubic-inch 300 bhp V8 engine needed nearly 11 seconds to push the heavy T-bird to 60 mph (96 km/h). The softly sprung suspension allowed considerable body lean, wallow, and float on curves and bumps.
This particular example has low miles, sports a new convertible top, black leather interior, and beautiful red paint. There is some pitting in a few of the chrome pieces (see pictures for details), but the car drives and presents itself well. It is a joy to drive and will turn heads everywhere you go.

1976 Dodge Power Wagon Lot #207 (Sale Order 108 of 244) This W100 is finished in red contrasted by a white roof and lower body, as further shown in the photo gallery below. The top-of-the-line Adventurer Sport trim is denoted by quarter-panel badges aft of the rear wheels. Power Wagon badging is visible on the hood of this short-wheelbase truck. The factory white-finished wheels have been recently mounted with new Michelin Defender tires. The three-speed automatic transmission features a column-mounted shifter and a floor-mounted 4×...4 gear selector. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 98k miles.

1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 MK III Lot #208 (Sale Order 109 of 244) Up for consideration at Saratoga Auto Museum Auction 2019 is what I consider one of the nicest 1967 Austin Healey BJ8’......s in the country.
The Austin-Healey was born from the Healey Hundred, first shown at the 1952 Earls Court Motor Show. British Motor Industry legend Sir Leonard Lord, soon convinced Healey that Austin should build the car and thus gave birth to the Austin-Healey 100. The Austin-Healey's design and appeal as a true British Sports Car, resulted in strong sales across the globe in the late 1950's and early 60's. Over time the design and drive train matured to the 6-cylinder Austin-Healey 3000, which featured a more comfortable interior, improved braking, and suspension. 1967 would marque the last production model year of the Austin-Healey 3000, the last of the great "Big Healeys" and is considered by many to be the pinnacle of the Austin-Healey brand.
This 1967 Austin Healey 3000 was first delivered in Europe as a "Personal Export Delivery", most likely the first owner, a US Soldier stationed in Europe. Personal Export Delivery is indicated on the Certificate of Heritage. Sometime between January 1967 and September 1969, the car was shipped back to the United States and the soldier/owner in Ohio, first registered the car in the US in 1969. We purchased the car from that owner and have a copy of the first 1969 Ohio title. This Healey was factory built as a black car with red interior. We decided to change the color to Golden Beige Metallic during restoration which is a true color for the 67 model year Healeys. The red vinyl was also change to a more Maroon Connolly leather. The mechanicals are all numbers matching and they are indicated on the Certificate of Heritage.
The owner in Ohio drove the car regularly for a period of years, and then decided in the early 1980's to perform mechanical rebuild of the Engine and Transmission. Like many restorations, the idea seemed good. While the mechanicals were out of the car, the owner then decided to freshen up the interior. Most of the interior was then pulled out. While the interior was out, it was then decided to give the car a quick paint job. Well, you know how that goes..... this project stalled and the car sat in the dry garage for a period of about 25 years. Photo’......s verify a very comprehensive restoration performed on this Austin Healey.
This 1967 Austin Healey 3000 was purchased from the previous owner in Ohio in late 2015 and started a comprehensive nut and bolt rotisserie, body off restoration by Knut Holzer, British Restoration Corporation. Knut and his shop of experienced restorers have restored upwards of 450 Austin Healeys and Jaguars over a period of 30 years. In my opinion, this is the Premier Restoration Shop in the Country for Healeys. All of the original body panels were in good condition and used in the restoration. The engine and transmission were rebuilt by a Machine shop in Pennsylvania that specializes in British Cars. Engine was balanced and line bored. Engine was built 20 over, with Performance cam. Engine was built to be about 170 hp. HD8 cabs were rebuilt and polished. 2" Stainless Steel Sport exhaust system (Europe), great sound. The stock starter and oil filter housing both have been rebuilt and are on the car. Original stock radiator was sent out and fitted with an additional core for cooling. We also installed a thermostatic electric fan installed before the radiator (hardly visible). The stock 4 speed transmission with electric overdrive have been completely rebuilt and operate flawlessly. Differential have been fully restored with stock ring and pinion, bearings and seals. New front coils. Rebuilt rear leaf springs. All brake and clutch hydraulics are new or restored. Steering column has been rebuilt. Heater box restored, pedal box restored. New horns, complete new wiring harness, all new lights and housings. Lucas yellow 576 fog lights (need to be wired), Lucas 24 hrs Lemans head lamps. Gauges rebuilt/restored by Nisonger, New York. All new triple plated chrome (Europe). All new glass, even the vent windows. New old stock Triplex Windshield. Restored Convertible top frame. 5 New Dayton 72 spoke Wheels and adapters. Tires are Vredestein 185 Sport Sprints. Tires and wheels have been balanced by Hendricks speed shop ($800 balance). Carpet Wool is light Maroon Wilton Wool. The full interior is light Maroon Connolly leather. Seat belts are Maroon and period correct lap belts. The Convertible top, Boot cover and full Toneau cover and all Mohair and were manufactured in Europe. The paint is Glasurit, German base/clear paint. All body panels, inside of the tub and boot as well as the underside of the car has all been sprayed in base and then clear coat. The paint on this car is flawless. The fit of the body panels is remarkable. The body panels were fitted probably 8 times throughout the restoration to ensure a great fit and perfect gaps. Henry J Kaisers venture into automobile manufacturing has been well documented, and consequently is not covered in detail here, instead I’......ll just concentrate on the aspects of the Kaiser history which resulted in the eventual pioneering adoption of the McCulloch Supercharger.
Henry J Kaiser formed the Kaiser-Frazer Corporation in 1945, in conjunction with Joe Frazer of Graham-Paige, with the purpose of producing “......the peoples car”......, a cheap, light vehicle that everyone could afford. Economics of the time, as always, dictated otherwise and the resultant vehicles (Kaiser and Frazer) were priced in the medium price bracket along with Desoto, Oldsmobile and Buick, however the cars sold as the car starved public were practically buying anything. The cars that Kaiser produced were austere in appearance and innovative for the time, featuring passenger seating between the axles, a wide interior and full flow ventilation, however economies forced the use of conventional rear wheel drive instead of the originally envisaged front wheel drive. Engine power was provided by the 226 cid Continental six L head engine, which was originally designed for industrial use.
The first Manhattan (actually a Frazer and not a Kaiser) was produced in 1947 and this was innovative in that it was produced with a color-coordinated interior, a first for the time. Kaiser was also considering a V-8, and in fact had designed one in 1946, but tooling expenses were prohibitive, and Kaiser instead approached other manufacturers, having little success. Faced with the choice of going with the V-8, or having another attempt at his peoples car, Henry J Kaiser chose the latter, a decision which it is believed led to the eventual downfall of Kaiser, and the use of the McCulloch Supercharger.
The resultant peoples car, the Henry J (also marketed as the Allstate by Sears) , was produced in 1951 however the styling of the car was not to public taste, and sales were poor as a result. To reduce costs the Henry J had no trunk lid, no glove box and no ventilation system. Kaisers low volume production resulting in the pricing to be just below the Chevrolet, and this coupled with the fact that it was a plain car introduced when the public were craving for more chrome, contributed to the poor acceptance of the Henry J. At this time Kaiser had split with Frazer (dropping the Frazer range) and coupled with Willys, and the Henry J’......s were powered by either a Willy’......s 134 cid four or 161 cid six cylinder L head engine. In contrast to the Henry J, the 226 cid L head Kaiser which had been restyled by Howard ‘......Dutch’...... Darrin was very well received, particularly with regards to its attractive looks.
In 1953 Kaiser merged with Willys, and was by then in trouble, probably due to the poor Henry J sales. The 1953 Kaiser was however still a unique and attractive car, particularly in Manhattan form (reintroduced in 1952), but the lack of V-8 was making it a poor competitor when compared to other marques. Despite his troubles Kaiser courageously introduced the Dutch Darrin designed Kaiser Darrin in 1954, an expensive fiberglass bodied two seater sports car powered by the Willys 161 cid six cylinder F head engine. This also suffered poor sales further contributing towards Kaisers financial problems.
For 1954 Kaiser addressed the power problems of the Kaiser and it’......s possible impact on sales by utilizing the McCulloch VS57 Supercharger.

The 1991 Jaguar XJS was available as either a coupe or a convertible with the base coupe selling for $53,000 while the convertible sold for $63,600. Power was from an overhead-cam 24-valve aluminum V12 offering 265 horsepower. It had a multi-point fuel injection system along with twin spray injectors. The engine was mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox, four-wheel disc brakes, and a rack-and-pinion steering system. For 1991, two new interior colors were added, including Magnolia and Doeskin. Charcoal-toned leather trim was added to the shift knob and to the steering wheel, and contrasting piping was on the upholstery.
The Classic Collection XJS was only available to the United States market. It is appointed similar to the Collection Rouge with lattice alloy wheels, four-headlight arrangement, new Classic badging on the boot lid and a gold-plated growler badge on the hood.

The Porsche 993 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 model manufactured and sold between January 1994 and early 1998 (model years 1995–......1998 in the United States), replacing the 964. Its discontinuation marked the end of air-cooled Porsches.
The 993 was much improved over, and quite different from its predecessor. According to Porsche, every part of the car was designed from the ground up, including the engine and only 20% of its parts were carried over from the previous generation. Porsche refers to the 993 as "a significant advance, not just from a technical, but also a visual perspective."Porsche's engineers devised a new light-alloy subframe with coil and wishbone suspension (an all new multi-link system), putting behind the previous lift-off oversteer and making significant progress with the engine and handling, creating a more civilized car overall providing an improved driving experience. The 993 was also the first 911 to receive a six speed transmission.
The 993 had several variants, as its predecessors, varying in body style, engines, drivetrains and included equipment. Power was increased by the addition of the VarioRam system, which added additional power, particularly in the mid-ranges, and also resulted in a more throttle noise at higher revs; as a consequence, resulted in a 15% increase in power over its predecessor.
The external design of the Porsche 993, penned by English designer Tony Hatter, retained the basic body shell architecture of the 964 and other earlier 911 models, but with revised exterior panels, with much more flared wheel arches, a smoother front and rear bumper design, an enlarged retractable rear wing and teardrop mirrors.
A 993 was promoted globally via its role of the safety car during the 1994 Formula One season.

The redesigned 1958 Pontiac was lower and larger than their predecessors, and updates included quad headlamps, a new grille and bumper for the more massive-appearing front end, broad side coves outlined by rocket-shaped trim, tamed tailfins, hooded quad taillamps and a revised decklid and rear bumper. The A-pillars now angled forward, offered a more dramatic wraparound windshield, and the rear roof pillars angled forward to afford a similar treatment for the backlite.

1970 Morgan 4/4 1600
Production of the Morgan 4/4 began in 1936 prior to the start of World War II. It was the company's first car with four wheels, and its '4-4' (later 4/4) was in reference to the four wheels and four cylinders.
The Morgan Motor Company was founded in 1910 by H.F.S. Morgan and run by Peter Morgan, son of H.F.S. until his death in 2003. Based in Malvern, Worcestershire, United Kingdom, the company remain in production today. They are the world's longest running production vehicle.
The early Morgan 4/4 models were powered by Coventry Climax's 1,122cc four-cylinder inline-over-exhaust engine. Two years later, a special Climax-engined sports model raced at LeMans, qualifying for the Biennial Cup. For the 1939 season, a special Standard 1,267cc overhead-valve four-cylinder engine was introduced and would continue to power the 4/4 model to 1950. After a five-year hiatus, the Morgan 4/4 was re-introduced in 1955 with Ford 100E power. New engines and modifications would continue throughout the years.
In February of 1968, Morgan introduced the 4/4 1600 powered by a variety of Ford 1599cc Kent engines offering 70 - 96 horsepower depending on setup and configuration. By March of 1982, a total of 3,513 had been production.

The 1962 Wildcat was a Buick Invicta subseries, mating the Invicta's longer full-size two-door hardtop Buick body (known as the "sport coupe", body production code 4647) with a high-performance 325 hp (242 kW) version of the 401 cu in (7 l) Nailhead V8, known as the "Wildcat 445" for producing 445 lb·......ft (603 N·......m) of torque. To further distance itself from the Invicta, the Wildcat had Electra 225-like taillights, a bucket seat interior, and a center console with tachometer and transmission shifter. It had a Dynaflow transmission shared by all full-sized Buicks, plus special exterior side trim, vinyl-covered roof (new for 1962), and its own unique emblem: a stylized head of a wild cat, located on each of the C-pillars. However, the Wildcat did share the LeSabre's and Invicta's trio of VentiPorts on the front fenders, a design cue lasting only through the 1963 model year.

1959 Ford Skyliner Lot #231 (Sale Order 132 of 244) Beautifully Rotisserie Restoration, 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner, 5 years, body off, that Commenced Sept 2007 and completed July 2012. Just in time for, the Annual "International Ford Retractable Club”...... Convention. This years Convention held July 2012, in Des Monte, Iowa, Car was Judged by IFRC Judges over two days of different Judging teams. Car was Awarded 1008 points out of 1020, 13 Judging sheets are available. Best 1959 Ford Retractable, won Showcase Car and Registry # 216 medallion, assigned to Car's VIN# H9RW101847.
1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner Retractable Hard Top, H-Code FE 352 v8 engine w/4bl carburetor 300 hp with Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed Automatic Transmission and rear end completely rebuild. New Original Geranium & Colonial White Style-tone paint job. New Original (OEM) matching interior with period correct Plastic seat covers. All wiring harness were replaced. Frame was sand blasted and power coated. All Chrome has been rechromed and Stainless reworked and buffed.
This car is a fully equipped PS,PB, PW,PS, A/C, electric wipers, Original Padded dash & Sun Visors, Impact steering wheel. This is a "Fairlane 500”...... VERY REAR originally built in San Jose, Ca. on September 30, 1958. As shown on Trim Plate below Date code 30J. Ford only produced the Fairlane 500 for a short three and a half months in the Fall of 1958. By middle of November, Ford replaced "Fairlane 500”...... with new model “...... Galaxie”....... The Fairlane designation continued with the new Galaxie script on the quarter panels but the Fairlane script and the GOLD # 500 appears only on the trunk, 0 is the key hole. In addition Ford added a gold Galaxie script to Glove Box Cover.

Prior history in 1980 after being Judged a Showcase Car, at the 1980 INTERNATIONAL FORD RETRACTABLE CLUB Convention, it also won both Best in Show & Peoples choice. I have the 1980 IFRC magazine showing the Owner accepting the best of show award. Also have July/2008 Skyliner listing all Showcase cars through 2008 and list my VIN# along side of Reg#25. This car came out of storage in 2007 and I purchased in Sept/2007 and shortly after started my body off rotisserie restoration, which was completed July/2012.

1988 BMW 325i Lot #245 (Sale Order 145 of 244) " The BMW E30 was the second generation 3-Series produced by BMW from 1982-1994. It succeeded the BMW E21 and was replaced by the BMW E36. This 1988 Cirrus Blue Metallic 325iC remains unrestored and has been an upstate NY gem all her life. Driven on summers with the top down around the lake, it is powered by a 2.5L Inline-6 M20 engine. The rust-free, well-preserved paint and the extremely clean interior is a testament to its 45,000 unmolested miles. Maintenance is up-to-date including an extensive tune-up/refresh that involved a timing belt replacement, water pump, fuel pump, fuel lines, brake service, flushed all fluids and valve-adjustment among other things.

1994 Honda Del Sol DOHC VTEC Lot #246 (Sale Order 146 of 244) This 1994 Honda Del Sol was the first year to be equipped from the factory with the optional 160hp DOHC VTEC (8200 RPM redline) engine and 5 speed manual transmission. It is a true low mileage (59k), rust free, survivor of the 90's Japanese pocket rocket era.
It is fully optioned with air conditioning, cruise control, targa top, electric mirrors, side windows and a retractable rear window! The vehicle body structure, wheel wells, door edges etc. are completely rust free. Paint is original. It has original wheels and comes with jack, space saver spare tire, owners manual and factory workshop manuals. It is eligible for classic car insurance and currently insured by Haggerty.
Quantum Race Works, a respected Honda race shop in Selkirk, NY, has serviced the car. Less than 3k miles ago they replaced the clutch with an Exeedy stage one package. They also upgraded the suspension and performed a 4 wheel alignment. A new Interstate battery was installed. The engine received a full tune up with original equipment factory Honda parts. A K&N element replaces the original air filter. Evans waterless coolant is also used. Brake pads were replaced and the full system flushed. Brakes and clutch have seen less than 3K of use.
This Del Sol came from the factory with 40 more horsepower than the Miata of the day! It also offered more interior room and had a much larger trunk. The Del Sol's targa top provided for open air motoring and more security when the vehicle was locked up The totally unique retractable electric rear window made for a quiet, turbulence free open air ride. When combined with Honda's jewell-like 8200 RPM DOHC VTEC engine and 5 speed, it made the Del Sol one of the most unique Japanese pocket rockets of the era!

It was during this year that a 4.9-litre engine was added to the range, this Indy now boasted the same power unit as the Ghibli SS but with a slightly lower power output of 320 bhp (against the Ghibli's 335 bhp) giving the Indy a top speed of 170 mph (280 kph).

This 1972 Maserati Indy 4900 Coupe is a special car that has been in the same family since it rolled off the lot at Algar Ferrari in Philadelphia. All numbers match. Driven sparingly by three generatons of owners, this Indy spent the majority of its life garaged and covered. Lovingly restored over the past decade, this gorgeous GT car drives beautifully and is in excellent mechanical condition.
Manufactured 7/17/72 this car is one of 300 4900s.
For the past decade the car has undergone a complete mechanical overhaul and tuning by Rennsport Automotive in Bedford Hills, NY. All systems are in excellent working order. All service records dating back to the 1980s are available, and the car has never been in an accident.
Some body repair work has been done on the driver's side door, the gas tanks have been replaced, all rubber is new, and every replacement part has been supplied by MIE corp in Washington State. While a full frame-off restoration was not completed, almost every inch of this car, inside and out, has been restored to like-new condition. New paint, restored interior.

A factory produced drag racer that lives up to the name Demon. With only 848 miles on this particular car it is important to know that there will be no more production of this limited edition Dodge Challenger model. In other words this is a rare and virtually new collector car.
The Challenger SRT Demon is even more powerful than the Hellcat version. With some 840 hp from the 6.2-liter Hemi V-8 this Demon, fitted with the Demon Crate package should be able to do the quarter mile in 9.65 seconds and hit 140 mph according to Car and Driver.
This 2-door coupe is all black with a black leather interior and black wheels. The floor-mounted shifter is an eight speed automatic and the Demon features a number of upgrades to help it go fast in a straight line.

The build sheet on this 1932 Cadillac 452B Fleetwood Seven Passenger Imperial Limousine indicates it was shipped on January 10, 1932 to the Montreal Auto Show. The engine number, 1400071 indicates it was the 70th V16 built for the 1932 model year. It was fitted with a suede cloth interior but it also was equipped with hooks so that different interior fabric samples could illustrated. The car still retains its original interior and the sample interior is still with the car. It was fitted with painted disc wheel covers and black wall tires. This V16 Cadillac had been properly maintained and retains its original 452 cu,.165 hp.,V-16 engine and 3-speed manual synchromesh transmission and drive train. It received a quality re-spray that is in excellent condition. Cadillac wheel discs are rare and documentation prove it was delivered with black-wall tires for more of a European look. Car comes with factory build sheet proving provenance.

1924 Red Bug Little Buckwood Woodie Lot #276 (Sale Order 173 of 244) In the late 1910s an open-aired vehicle, eventually named the Auto Red Bug by its manufacturer, was introduced to the Jekyll Island Club. Red Bugs were first discovered by the Club's carpenter Chris Nielsen, who was searching for a company producing small-sized wheels. Nielsen, constructing a bicycle for his young son David, obtained the wheels he needed from the company Briggs and Stratton. This company was using the wheels on a small-motorized transport called the Flyer, the Red Bug's first name.
Chris Nielsen talked to Club superintendent Ernest Grob about the vehicles and one was bought as a prototype for the island. The island roads, paved with crushed oyster shells, made driving around Jekyll with Red Bugs uncomplicated. The transport became an instant success and soon others were purchased.
The Red Bug obtained speeds of up to 25 miles per hour and was powered by a motorized fifth wheel, positioned at the rear of the vehicle. Designed originally as an economical car, the gasoline version was replaced around 1925 with the slower-operating electric model.
A 1928 Country Life magazine advertisement for the electric Red Bug offers this description of the vehicle, "It operates on standard automobile storage batteries, rechargeable in your own garage or at any service station. It is fully equipped with emergency brake and parking lock. Red Bug has powerful headlights and taillight for night driving, and [a] standard automobile horn." Throughout the late 1920s the electric Red Bug was sold in the United States as well as in Europe. In France the vehicle was marketed as the Le Red Bug. Although becoming popular ride attraction at many amusement parks, by the 1930s the Red Bug was no longer manufactured.
While the Club possessed numerous electric and gasoline Red Bugs, by the late 1920s many of the members and their families had purchased their own. In 1941 the Club rented Red Bugs for $3.00 a day or $20.00 for the entire week. Privately owned Red Bugs could be stored in the garage and maintained for .50 cents a day. In comparison, the Club rented a chauffeured automobile for $5 an hour.
In the 1940s, with the state's procurement of the island, the Club-owned Red Bugs were sold to business proprietor Brantley O'Quinn. For a time, O'Quinn rented the Red Bugs by the hour to vacationers on St. Simons Island. In the 1950s the vehicles were sold to the Kut-Kwik Tool Co, a manufacturer of lawn mowing equipment.

1959 Volkswagen Custom Lot #303 (Sale Order 199 of 244) 1959 Volkswagen Single Cab Custom pickup truck
A superb example of the Volkswagen Single Cab pickup truck variation restored to perfection. In looking at this unique and memorable VW truck you will see a remarkable devotion to detail by an enthusiast who knows his VWs and has owned some 18 Volkswagens.
Purchased in 2013, the truck was already redone but then after a small engine fire, the owner again totally restored this vehicle bringing it to an unbelievable level of quality and authenticity.
The body was fully prepped and totally repainted in beautiful “......Sealing Wax Red”....... The restoration shop used a two-stage system for the Axalta base coats and clear coats.
The interior including the bench seat were not damaged in the fire and so is in pristine condition down to the period correct VW seat belts.
Of course the engine had to be replaced in the back of the truck so the 2275 cc air cooled four cylinder is totally new and has been extensively improved with new internals including Weber carbs, a Pertonix ignition system and a stainless steel exhaust system. The steering box was replaced with a rebuilt box and the Barndoor steering wheel with the right model. The wiring harness was also replaced.
In addition to the new power plant the truck was raised up to the stock level via adjustable front beam/rear spring plates. The wheels were replaced with the correct 15-inch steel wheels with the rims and front bumper repainted in white.
The owner, a woodworking enthusiast, redid the truck bed with slats of hard maple and black walnut wood. All were finished with four coats of Spar Varnish and then locked in place. An interesting innovation on these VW trucks was the raised bed so wheel wells don’......t interfere with the cargo space and all three sides are hinged and can fold down allowing full access for loading the bed…......not that you would want to given the beautiful wood slats.
Already a show award winner, this unique and beautiful VW pickup is certain to go on winning awards for the new owner.

The Cadillac Allante is a two-door, two-seater luxury roadster produced by Cadillac from 1987 until 1993. The Allante bodies were designed and manufactured in Italy by Pininfarina and were shipped 4,600 mi to the U.S. for final assembly with a Cadillac chassis and running gear. Specially equipped Boeing 747s departed Turin International Airport with 56 bodies at a time, a very expensive way to produce a car! Introduced in early 1992 for the 1993 model year, Allante was scaled down to just one model this year, the soft-top convertible priced at $59,975. The 1993 Allante was also chosen as the 1992 pace car for the 76th Indy 500 Indianapolis 500, the pace car was driven by Bobby Unser.

1929 Essex Super Six Lot #328 (Sale Order 224 of 244) This is a first rate modern hot rod with a vintage look and feel the body is aesthetically stock in appearance but actually has been modified extensively, from the all steel roof to the hand fabricated steel hood,and the sculpted grill shell. The chassis is all box tubing with Corvette suspension front and rear.
The powertrain is really what sets the car apart from the rest, it has a torque monster turbo intercooled 3.9 4BT Cummins Diesel mated to a GM Turbo 400 the spent fuel is sent threw a full T.I.G. welded stainless exhaust system.
After installing sound deadening in every nook and cranny the interior was wrapped in a butter soft grey leather with blue accent panels and a touch of real wood at the door panels, headliner, and the one off hand made steering wheel.
All chrome has been re-plated to perfection. The window glass is all safety or tempered and the side glass has a slight tint. The gauge cluster is the original to the car but has been up dated with all modern instrumentation. The 4 full size reclining seats are covered in the same leather for an amazingly comfortable drive. The power sun roof and tilt out windshield ad to the hot rod experience and comfort.
Every effort was made to source high quality parts that are made in the USA including the 24 karat gold plated DAYTON wire wheels and the vintage ford steering column.
The entire build was documented in photographs and paper work.
The Essex has won many awards and always draws a crowd, not often is a car so beautifully executed and such a pleasure to drive.
The car was just at the Syracuse nationals and was pinstriped by ZEEK and some friends for charity at "Arty's Party", it comes with a shirt signed by several of the artists.

Prevost has a long history of building the finest motor homes in the universe and Featherlite of Sanford, Florida is known for building exceptional custom bodies on the Prevost platform. Under the direction of the current owner no expense was spared in creating this ultimate experience in motor home luxury. Powered by a Detroit series 60-diesel 6-cylinder engine that puts out 500 hp to move this motor home along interstates and rural roads. The automatic is a 6-speed. This motor home features power steering and power air brakes.
The interior is of course all custom, featuring hand picked leather upholstery from Gloversville in a rich tan with brown trim. The Jaguar MK II sedan is considered one of the most elegant cars produced by Jaguar, a company famous for its beautiful sports cars. Even though it is a four-door sedan the MK II delivers sports car like performance from the famous XK DOHC straight six at 3.4 liters.
The Mark II (also known at the Mk 2) was an update to the company’......s first small unibody saloon and was an instant hit with larger windows and a wider rear track, new grill, fitted fog lamps and standard 4 wheel disc brakes. The brakes on this car have been completely rebuilt using new parts according to the owner.
This MK II received an extensive restoration two years ago. The XK engine in this car was completely rebuilt and has only some 250 miles since. It has a new exhaust manifold and the owner has installed a stainless steel exhaust system. He also replaced the shocks and springs so the car handles as a Jaguar should.
The inline 3.4 liter six is feed by two SU carburetors and the transmission is the highly desirable floor mounted four speed with overdrive. In its day the 3.4 liter engine produced 210 h.p. and a top speed of well over 100 m.p.h.
The two-tone grey paint on this particular MK II perfectly compliments the sweeping lines of the MK II. The grill and front of the car closely resembles that of its sports car cousin the XK150.
The interior is beautiful as well with a walnut veneer dash, multiple gauges in front of the driver, a row of toggle switches in easy reach and comfortable bucket leather seats, blue in this car. The back seat features drop down wood trays and a leather armrest in the middle of the bench seat.
This car has been meticulously restored and maintained by an owner who takes real pride in his work, even the underside is spotless.

Its is solidly detailed and has a great look with proper Ford Blue on the engine itself along with a factory air cleaner with correct 429 decal on top. The 3-speed automatic transmission shifts easily and gives it a smooth luxury car feel, and feeds a heavy-duty 9-inch rear. Check out the solid floors, and power front disc brakes, too. Those very cool Cragar 50th anniversary edition wheels carry fat 235/70/15 tires that give it a sporty look. This Thunderbird is a very appealing and very unusual piece of luxury muscle.
