Timeless Ford F1 Pickup Truck 239 Flathead V8 3-Speed Leather 12-Volt Electrical
Sometimes you just need an honest, no frills truck.
There's an innate coolness to offerings like this well-restored Ford F1. No gimmicks, no customization and no modern “conveniences” distracting you from an engaging driving experience. Just a factory-spec throwback to the golden days of America and hardworking visionaries who built an empire. A cool head turner that celebrates blue collar swagger, this polished pickup capitalizes on timeless design and universal appeal. And, whether you're a diehard Ford fan, an old school truck lover or just a curious buyer who's looking for something wholly traditional, it's a cool classic that's sure to please!
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME AMERICANA
While its basic shape is certainly appealing, first rate detailing is what makes this F1 really pop. Dressed, dapper and ready to roll, the truck was meticulously rebuilt during a thorough, ground-up restoration that fronted a timeless steel profile with lightweight fiberglass fenders. Authenticity is retained by a traditional combination of two-stage that reflects as 1949 Ford Meadow Green and 1949 Ford Miami Cream. Sleeved tailgate chains activate to reveal a crisp wood bed that's secured by painted skid strips. In addition to just the right amount of chrome, the truck's idealistic profile is highlighted by silver headlight buckets and old school bed rails. And overall, this road-ready cruiser carries every indication that its high-quality reboot was a well-planned effort.
IN KEEPING WITH TRADITION
If Henry Ford perfected one aspect of his automobiles, it was the Ford V8. Introduced in 1932 as a durable, torque-rich competitor to more expensive and labor-intensive 8-cylinders, the 'flatty' quickly became the standard for traditional and kustom builds. And, in keeping with that tradition, this strapping classic is powered by a correct, 239 cubic inch 8RT block. Straight from the factory, that throaty mill spins smooth 6.75 to 1 compression into an even 100 horsepower and 181 lb./ft. of reliable torque. Fully rebuilt during the truck's detailed restoration, the light blue engine perches a small Holley carburetor on 24-bolt heads. Modern details, like aftermarket headers, a 12-volt electrical system and a swift Cooling Components puller fan, greatly increase drivability. And overall, this pickup's body-matched engine bay is a charming and 100% functional step back in to a much simpler, and some would say better, period of American automotive history.
SIMPLE IS GOOD
Crawling under this classy blue oval reveals a sturdy frame and solid floors that are coated in a clean coat of Satin Black pigment. Power meets the ground through a traditional 3-speed, which twists torque to a proven 10-bolt axle. Correct leaf springs and drum brakes occupy all four corners of the chassis, mixing rugged road prowess with firm and solid stops. True-dual exhaust pipes spent gases through welded, dual-chamber mufflers. And everything rolls on Miami Cream steelies, which turn 6.00-16 Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewalls around polished, Ford-stamped hubcaps.
MODERN COMFORT, TIMELESS STYLE
When you pop this pickup's doors, you'll find a delightfully retro cockpit that's simple and purposeful. A requisite bench seat stretches supple leather between a custom headliner and custom kick panels. Those panels are molded around big Kenwood speakers, which milk a modern Pioneer CD player. That modern audio joins modern Sunpro temp gauges, one for each head, to spice a handsome factory dash that's complete with crisp factory telemetry. The driver spins a classy wheel around factory pedals, a polished turn indicator and a simple shifter. And panel-free doors add to the truck's tough, utilitarian charm.
Whether it's simple nostalgia or their long list of extremely useful virtues, one thing is certain: trucks NEVER go out of style. And when they're restored this well, they seem to never fade away. In the market for something cool? Looking for something traditional? Yearning for something that, unlike so many resto-mods and modern cars, hasn't lost one ounce of its intended purpose or charm? Don't miss your chance to claim this timeless F1!
